Kenzo Japanese & Asian Fusion — Restaurant in Guilford Township

To anyone looking for great food in Chambersburg, or any surrounding area(s), give this restaurant a try! For those of you who believe that a lot of people try way too hard to build up mediocre restaurants’ reputations, myself included, I can tell you that this place didn’t get its rating for that reason. I was beyond impressed by the food, the service, and the prices! A friend of mine suggested this restaurant to me, and I’ll admit I was a little skeptical (I’ve never been super impressed by any Asian or Asian fusion restaurant), but I cannot say enough about how great my dining experience was, here. The food was phenomenal (portions great, presentation great) - my only “complaint” is that the chicken satay could’ve been better, and some beverages come in cans (with cups to pour them into), but that’s no big deal. The other appetizers, and our entrees, were the best I’ve ever had! We got lucky, because we reserved a table on a Saturday, for 5:30PM, and the place wasn’t very busy when we arrived; by the time we left, the place was packed. They do need a larger building with more seating, and maybe more servers - I believe the place is entirely run by one family. We had multiple people wait on us, but they were all genuinely kind and efficient. I’ve been to many highly rated restaurants on the east coast and can honestly say that this is the first place I’ve ever left a positive review for, if that says anything. Who would ever think of finding a Sushi gem in the middle of nowhere PA. Kenzo has been my go-to restaurant during business travel for the past few years and is probably the best sushi I've ever had.

The service is impeccable. I used to visit this spot at least 3x a week during heavy travel periods (I'm not even ashamed of this confession or the fact that the waiting staff knows me on a first name basis). Very friendly and courteous staff.

If you're looking for a great appetizer, get the chicken yakitori. Fresh, hot, and super flavorful. The speciality rolls are always a hit- the volcano and scorpion are probably my faves. I did finally step out of my sushi zone during my last visit and tried their chicken pad thai (thai spicy), and wow, I only regret not trying it earlier. Super large serving for the price and tasted incredible. Get their delicious thai iced tea to balance out the spice if needed. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Amazing dining experience! Very glad we made reservations - Friday nights are BUSY. As others have mentioned the service is stellar; everyone that works here is straight up delightful. Service is speedy and the atmosphere is nice and bright and clean. Every single meal that I saw while there looked incredibly tasty.

The vegetable gyoza are the best I’ve had in my life. Flavorful contents, perfectly crisp on one side, and paired with a tangy sauce that compliments them oh so well. Also you could drown me in their peanut sauce it’s so good I would thank you for your service. Sushi is all top notch and reasonably priced, there’s even an option to create your own roll! Mochi is absolutely out of this world. We had strawberry and mango - second to none. Such a smooth texture, not sticky, and a real explosion of flavors.
