Carpanzano's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Guilford

It sad but we have been to this restaurant in. The past for take out but today unfortunately not only did they make an error, they insisted they didn’t. As well the acting individual in charge felt a threat to come to my house was perfectly fine to say to my wife after he insisted to me she was wrong and he was right. That being said because I was upset and a little loud he felt the act of assault was ok. If all you care about is good food this is a stop you can make. But if service is important steer clear. We ordered and confirmed our order and one of our three pizzas were made incorrectly. So we called and were told by staff that the Pizza wasn't wrong it was just missing the ingredients. Really????? Than the so called person in charge told my wife he wanted to know our address because he wanted to talk to me face to face at my home to have words with me . What ? talk about threats and road rage who is this guy! Sorry we still live in a world where the customer is correct especially after confirmation of an order is done. Never going back.Not to mention not...

The food is good, when you actually get it. Today's experience will be my last. We called in an order 1 large and 1 small pizza. I was told 45 minutes. I showed up about the 45 minute mark and was told it would be 8 more minutes. I stood around for 20 minutes, chatting with the other patrons (they also think the service is terrible). I was then asked what I ordered and was told it would be 8 more minutes….. crazy, right? I told them that I already heard that one and the lady walked to the back to speak to the owner. The owner looked up at me from the kitchen and just went back to work. 20 minutes later they again ask me what I ordered eye roll. I tell them again. The lady goes to the back and come out to tell me they lost the ticket. I then asked for a refund, which they gave. Not one apology was given. I’m done. I called Naples and 20 minutes later I had my food. Please just do yourself a favor and bypass...

This is my favorite pizza place in Guilford. They do a great thin, crispy crust that is never doughy. The sauce is also quite good not too sweet or bland. Additionally they use high end mozzarella which makes all the difference in the world. Their pastas are great as well. Huge portions as well as salad and bread. They also do stuffed breads that are a favorite in town. The only downside is the phone service. There is a lack of menu and product knowledge with the order takers so getting information or in some cases even getting them to understand what your question is can sometimes be frustrating. If you don't know the menu items name verbatim you may get something else. Still worth it though as the food is really,...
