I ordered two shrimp tacos with rice and beans and was charged 15.00 which is more than the quesadilla shrimp meal 13.99 that comes with rice and beans and salad and it doesnât come with chips and salsa dip like rio bravo Mexican restaurant in gulf breeze fl definitely a rip off disappointed đ
Then I called back to just order a shrimp quesadilla for 13.99 because Iâm on a budget they then up the price to 16.00 from calling back to change the order the lady That answered racially profiled (hearing my voice ) changing the price because I told her thatâs not the same price on the website
Thereâs something wrong with this restaurant they are desperate for money then when I asked the rep why are you charging more than the grub hub prices for a shrimp taco or quesadilla meal they said because chips n salsa is more money for take out but free when you come in and sit down but other Mexicans restaurants give chips and salsa for free. Which is an order knowing when you order the quesadilla shrimp meal it is supposed to come with everything on the menu then when I said that and said Iâm going to put this as a review they then said they will honor the grub hub price which is on the website for pickup 13.99 now Iâm scared to eat there food
im being racially profiled good luck eating there because no restaurant is supposed to change the prices from the website when you call to pick up they have a different price nothing...
Read moreTaco Rock has great food. Itâs a nice place, casual, unpretentious, come as you are. Youâll probably interact with at least 2 family members - probably more in the back. They are just unfailingly nice and helpful.
The good: -Puff taco is FANTASTIC! Ask for easy on the beans -ALL the tacos - especially the Al Pastor, Carnitas, Carne Asada, Chorizo. The hard shell beef tacos are great - but similar to something I make at home. But if you crave a comfort food hard shell beef taco - theyâre good. And 99 cents on tuesday. Have never had the chicken. I eat PLENTY of chicken at home.
-The Cali Burrito might be the best thing Iâve tasted here - but I try not to order something that heavy - that also has fries in it. But if youâre really hungry?!?! YES
Enchiladas - we order beef for us, cheese for our vegetarian son. Very good. Ask for a little extra sauce on the side. Itâs really good. I never want extra saucy anything - but I love the sauce.
If they have the hot carrots, and you like spicy - get them! They donât always have them - and they can vary greatly in spiciness. But mild or hot - we have to get them.
The not so good:
Sadly, Gulf Breeze has weird liquor laws - so they canât make true margarita with tequila. They serve the kind from a bottle. But they do have BEER!!!
The chips are always good but the queso is usually really thin. Itâs good, and we always get it - but I...
Read moreTraveled to Gulf Breeze for vacation from Texas (so I judge Mexican food with extreme prejudice). It was located right in front of the condo that we stayed at so we gave it a shot. Let me tell you, this was better than most Mexican food I've eaten in Texas. The choices of meats were nice including Chorizo, Barbacoa, Pork Al Pastor or Carnitas, Carne Asada (not just beef, chicken, or shrimp). My wife had the Chili Rellenos with shredded chicken on it. the beans & rice were also good.
The good: Chorizo Queso (that's right instead of basic Velveta, Rotell, & some unknown chili) this was a Queso Blanco with Chorizo crumble in it, nice & flavorful.
The Bad: you have to pay for the chips & salsa (only $0.99, but still). Chips tasted like they opened a stale bag of Santitas, & the salsa was okay, not overpowered with cilantro, but enough that you can tell its in there; tomatoes good & pureed so the salsa is not that chunky. Like any good Mexican place, ask about the other salsa & sauces. The Salsa Verde was more of a Chili Cilantros sauce & the Habanero sauce was a nice homemade hot sauce (a little on the watery side).
The Ugly: not much really ugly. Location, its on the backside of Harbourtown so it might be a little hard for some to find it. No clear & cut "Fajita's" on the menu. You can get any dish Fajita style (whatever...
