I went through there drive-thru and ordered a cup of coffee with a lot of creamer. I like a lot of creamer with my coffee. And over the speaker I heard one of the employees make a derogatory comment about me and my order. When I got to the window I asked to speak to the manager the manager then allowed me to speak to the employee told her I did not appreciate her comments and she gave me a flip an apology and then walked away and said yet another disparaging comment about me loudly enough that I could hear it through the window. Since that time I've chosen not to use the restaurant when I know that she is working but due to the business that I have which is a taxi service I do have to go through there when my customers want to eat. Tonight this particular young lady was working and when I saw that I specifically requested for her not to deal with me I wanted to deal with another employee and was told that that would happen, and this young lady insisted on inserting herself in after I asked not to deal with her. Instead of finding out from me what the situation was the manager had me trespassed from the restaurant because my customer got offended and called and had words that were not pleasant with both the manager and that employee. It is their loss I bring a lot of customers through that business. And I definitely do not want to do business with a business that has so little respect for their customers and allow an employee to act and have the attitude that this young...
Read moreBeing a bodybuilder I don't eat a lot of traditional fast food, but I must confess I love their burgers and the occasional chocolate shake. Over the past several years we have eaten at most locations around the Pensacola area and I don't believe we ever had a bad experience. The restaurants are usually clean, even during busy times, and a manager/employee has always stopped by our table to ask if our food was okay and how we were doing. Some locations have been faster than others, but we never had any problems with very long waits or rude employees. It appears many menu items are prepared when ordered, unlike many chain restaurants (McDonalds /Burger King, etc..) which have items wrapped & stacked under heat lamps just waiting to be tossed in a bag or on a tray. This being the case, it's going to take a few more minutes to get your food as compared to the other chain restaurants and I have no problem with waiting a few more minutes to get freshly prepared food. For a "fast food" restaurant they have a lot to choose from, and the food /shakes appear to be a littler better quality than the other quick chain restaurants. Add that most locations are open 24 hours and it makes a great place to stop late at night after leaving the beach or if just looking to satisfy late night hunger cravings. I imagine if I ate there all the time I probably would not love it as much as I do, but I only get it a few times a year so I always look forward to a Whataburger visit, as it's a...
Read moreNormally, I have decent experiences going to Whataburger as I go to get a late-night, meal during their breakfast times (11 pm-11 am). On July 10th, I arrived at the Whataburger on Gulf Breeze Pkwy (Next to Holley By The Sea) at 10 pm and did not get my food until 10:39 pm. Nearly an hour for my food.
Once I got my food, when I got home, I cut my "Bacon Avacado Burger" into two halves with the purpose of sharing it with my mother. Something was wrong with the burger, but it had a weird taste and odor.
Once consumed, (about 11 pm that night) around 11 am on the 11th of July, I started showing symptoms of Food Poisoning which lasted until the morning of the 13th. I have an illness that can cause severe, possibly life-threatening pain in my body if I become overly dehydrated. I manage to somewhat avoid that from happening, but the fact I had to go through that at all knowing what could've happened over a burger is ridiculous.
I urge that Whataburger get their management and staffing in order to ensure that something similar does not happen to anyone else. Needless to say, I won't be going back there for a long time. I truly hope that no one else was sick that night as the days and nights I had were abysmal, to say the least.
Do better...
