This hotel is where we would always stay when we come into town, which is quite often. We have spent thousands of dollars over the course of a year that we have stayed here. They do let you check in early and check out late, but this last stay has left a bad taste in my mouth. We were stuck here an extra day due to the unexpected blizzard that hit Pensacola. Aside from us, there were only a couple of guests staying here. The rest of the people that stay here live here. We were charged full price for our stay when we had no option but to stay. All hotels were either closed or booked up, and going through the trouble of relocating with the conditions of the road was not ideal. When my husband was getting the key card fixed, he spoke to a young lady, and she told him that they let her stay here for free and were offering her another free night due to the weather conditions. We went to the gas station and we ran into a couple that said all hotels over the bridge were offering rooms for 20 to 30 dollars to help all the tourists that were stuck in town, yet we were charged full price for our stay. If we were strangers, I would understand, but we have literally stayed here more times than we can count. At 12 10 the old lady THAT LIVES NEXT DOOR TO THE ROOM WE WERE STAYING IN) came to bang on the door to tell us it was past 12 and they wanted to get out of the cold and needed to clean our room. She lives next door. we are the only guests checking out. There was absolutely no need for that. We have been sitting in the parking lot for 40 minutes after check out, and still no one has stepped foot in the room they were in such a hurry to clean. The standards have definitely dropped since our first stay. Everything is dusty. They don't come check if you need anything every day like they used to. The wifi never works. We have to use our hotspot to watch tv. Even one of the staff members expressed how he disagrees with a lot that goes on here but needs a place to live so he does his job and keeps to himself to avoid losing his job. There's plenty of hotels, with better locations and better customer service. So definitely, I will no longer go out of our way to stay here. Like I said this was our go to location because of how hospitable they normally are, but I guess due to our amounts of stays and what we drive people automatically assume we have all this money when in reality we work for our money just like everyone else. Aside from this stay and the wifi never working, we never have had any previous issues. Normally, everyone is really nice. Like I stated before, they normally let us check in early and check out late. The rooms are nice they just need to do a better job cleaning. It's 12:51, and we were rushed out, but still no one cleaning the room we were in.

So disappointed. The rooms have been tastefully updated and the front desk clerk was super nice. We were excited that perhaps we'd found a hidden gem! But the beauty is only skin deep at this place. The AC units are so high on the wall, you need to be over 6' to adjust the temp. And the floors are so gross just walking to the bathroom and back a couple times will ruin a good pair of socks. The worst is that there is zero insulation between rooms and floors so even normal noises can be heard between rooms. And when nuisance neighbors really get cranked up at night and it's impossible to sleep, the hotel refuses to do anything about it. Since they wouldn't ask the nuisance people to leave, we decided to leave. The front desk apologized and assured us we would receive a full refund; however, since we had booked with Expedia, they advised we'd need to contact Expedia to initiate the refund. Upon returning home, we did just that, but Expedia informed us that the hotel would only authorize a partial refund. After calling the hotel myself and arguing with them, they finally did reluctantly issue a full refund. Stay clear of this place. We ended up at the Quality Inn down the street. It's an older property, but it's clean and quiet. A much better choice than the Gulf Coast Inn. ETA: Editing to respond to the hotel's comments, since I can't seem to be able to reply to them directly. There was no remote to the AC. Even the front desk clerk could not find a remote when he had to come and adjust the temp for us because we couldn't reach it. As for the noisy/nuisance neighbors, the first employee definitely knew it was a problem. Unfortunately, he was getting off shift right after the problem started. The second clerk wouldn't even go investigate. Hard to judge what's a problem and what isn't when you won't even come check it out. I'm very glad your other guests have enjoyed their stays. They apparently all understand that this is a party hotel and, in the end, you really do get what you pay for.

BED BUGS, they have them. I saw traces of them and then actually saw the bugs, after staying one night and sleeping in the bed. The second night I was there, it was late and I noticed a blood looking smudge on two pillows. I turned one pillow over and there was some type of bug on it. I freaked out and slung it off the pillow into the toilet and flushed it, before getting a picture. I immediately started putting my things in my trunk. It was like midnight. I slept in my car for a few hours, not in the room. That morning I went to get some gallon baggies to put every piece of clothing in a sealed bag. I got all my things together to get out of there. I looked at the bed and saw a bug crawling on it, went over to look and sure enough it was a bed bug. I went to the office and informed the staff. The staff worker came to look , yes I was correct. She was very apologetic. I was due to stay one more night, and they refunded me for the last night. While I was checking out I heard that made at least two rooms with bed bugs. I'll never go back there. I'm so paranoid now that my personal items are carrying the bugs. I have another day here, with no place to stay at the moment , and I am trying to figure out what to do with my belongings when I get home. Also, hoping my car doesn't get infested. I'm already OCD and this has me over the top. I travel on average 3 to 4 times a year and I've never experienced this. The updated rooms are pretty nice. Cleaning is a bit lacking. Also, the area where the air conditioner blows is very dusty. With that being said, regardless how nice a place is, no place with bed bugs is nice in my book.

My friend had reserved and paid for my room was told to come to the front door or call after hours and someone would answer there is a sign on the door that says call this number call twice around 1:00 a.m. waited about 5 to 6 minutes between each phone call thinking that the person may have just been in the bathroom so I ended up sleeping in the parking lot in the back of my van at the waffle house next door I grab some breakfast and the next morning met with my friend who is in another room and his wife and we ended up seeing the host at the hotel she apologized gave me the room for Saturday night I had room 19 above me in room 19 the people there had a dog as a pet friendly hotel and I understand but you can hear the dog walking back and forth in the room downstairs night and day every time the dog walked around you could hear it and it wasn't quiet at all was there for audit palooza work Friday before heading out after working and driving was up for over 21 hours and I was very tired so sleeping in the back of the van was no big deal but now this is Saturday night I spent the day at audit palooza from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. came back to the hotel the gentleman room 20 who has a chair right outside his door I think he lives there he had a small plastic bucket on the ground beside the chair with water in it I seen that as I went to the drink machine but he would come out every 15 to 20 minutes to smoke a cigarette sitting in his chair while leaving his door open with the loud music I literally have a recording inside the room that was mine with the door shut but you can hear the music in my room so this is what you have to deal with if you stay here the rooms were pretty nice I liked a lot of it but there's no overhead lighting it's dark in some areas with just the lamps but generally they was clean except the air conditioner and the exhaust fan in the rooms were totally covered with dust and needed to be cleaned the remodel looks good but in the bathroom it's got price tags still on the wood and they just stained right over it so that looks tacky it's got Lowe's price tags or whatever Home Depot or wherever it came from they had a ice bucket in my room so I went to where the drink machines were and there was no ice machine I'm not even really sure where that was if they have one but being exhausted I went ahead and lay down turned off all the lights and tried to see if I can get some sleep luckily I did fall asleep but at 4:00 a.m. the dog got up started walking across the room and it woke me up because you can hear the dog walking it's terrible how loud it was so at that point I'd had a few hours sleep thank God I got up because I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep think the dog needed to go potty probably but I packed up and left so very disappointed with the hotel overall the lady was very nice she was I liked her and so she took care of the night before issue and I'm not blaming her for anything that happened as far as the noise and stuff except the fact don't put dogs in upstairs rooms put them downstairs so the downstairs people don't have to...

We booked 3 months ahead so we got a great deal on the 7 nights we stayed.

With that being said that's the only deal we really got.

If you are given room 14 ASK FOR ANOTHER. The owner apparently doesn't think the hot water heater needs to be replaced so we went 3 nights without hot water, the front desk had to keep unplugging it and plugging it in again. Was told the owner states it works most of the time so we won't fix or replace it. We were given another room bc of the inconvenience of the water situation. That room was rented out the very next day. Nothing was fixed. Room 14 was big but floors were DISGUSTING, our feet were BLACK! if you left any clothes on the floor they got stained from the filth. I went and purchased a Swiffer and went through an entire 20 pack cleaning and the floors still were not clean. The next room was the exact same! I watched for a full week and never once saw the cleaning ppl use the mops on the cart. They do not mop at all. The front office said " we don't clean the floors each time but most of the time" tried to blame it on the mop heads. I've seen several other reviews saying the same thing. It looks like most of their employees live there so it seems they've gotten more than comfortable not doing anything. The only employee I saw working and pulling his weight was the landscaper or maintenance guy not sure what he is but he lives there and is always working. There were food wrappers, melted candy and what not on the floors next to furniture. The Internet doesn't stay on and cable didn't work most days. Maybe 2 of the 7 days did we get any television. The second room needed to be cleaned as well, sad I spent several days cleaning the rooms that should have been already cleaned for us. Secondly why in the hell is the owner too cheap to get the older cleaning lady a darn laundry cart. She literally has to go up front and get all the bed sheets and shampoos and stuff and walk to the room she's stocking. Wouldn't it be so much more time efficient to get her a cart so she can do several rooms quicker without having to walk upfront each time.

Seems to be a party spot on the weekends. So would not recommend for families with children as your rooms will start to smell like weed in the middle of the night from all the ppl sitting outside your rooms smoking.

The price and location was honestly the only reason we stayed, otherwise we would have just went to a...
