Waffle House — Restaurant in Gulf Breeze

I work close by to this waffle house. I have eaten there several times and have always had the same result. I am amazed how poorly the wait staff treat the customers. As a young white male the only people who are worth a damn in the entire place are the African-American cooks and waitresses. Management needs to get a hold of this place. The waitress that waited on me this time could not have cared less. I asked for a water and a BLT with well done bacon. I reminded her that I wanted it well done when she called out the order to the cook after she didn't tell them it was to be cooked well done. When I asked her she said most of the time they cook it well done. I told her the last time I was there the same thing happened and it was undercooked. Why would you argue with a customer about what they want and treat them like that? She dropped the food off, didn't ask me if I needed anything else and never came back. She sat at the bar next to me and ate her breakfast while on her phone. She never offered a refill nor did she bother to ask how my food was. After I ate and tried to pay for the meal my waitress told me to wait until she was finished. There where 3 waitresses on duty who didn't want to take my payment so I just stood there until they decided they were ready to take the payment. On previous visits to this location I asked for a straw and was looked at like I asked for a kidney donation. They do not great you when you walk in unless its the sweet African-American waitress or the African-American cooks. I’ve been to many waffle houses in my life, but never have i ever been to one quite like this. Upon entering the restaurant we encountered another customer that had similar service to us and warned us “order slow, in detail, and be specific”. So taking his advice we did precisely that, so there is no way to mess up the order right? One would think so. When we finally received our orders they came out with everything we didn’t ask for. We had ordered hash browns with ham, cheese and chili. They gave us chili that was basically public school category, it was riddled with mushrooms and the taste was less than satisfactory. So that’s not so bad right? I mean they did forget the ham and the cheese wasn’t even melted but that’s just an honest mistake. Well after four refills of sweet tea and a fith refill waiting on the counter, the waitress forgot to give us the refill, AGAIN. She even proceeded to say they don’t serve sweet tea. This was a repetitive action throughout the entire meal. With so many mistakes you would think that people getting paid to do this would try and fix their mistakes, they did just the opposite. They had our orders all mixed up and they even took one of our plates and left it behind the counter for an extended period of time. Something in one of our orders even made one of us so sick he couldn’t make it back to the room we were staying in; he was leaning over the railing of the parking garage puking for about 10 minutes before he could walk again. Don't have a Waffle House where we live. Excited to eat here. Walked in. The three main booths that set you near window were closed off with a bucket of brown water. Looked for other seating arrangements only to find those tables with plates and left over food on tables from patrons who had left previously. Which must of been more than 10 min because nobody left when we arrived and we were screwing around in parking lot for at least that amount of time trying to make the GPS stop saying "YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT YOUR DESTINATION ON RIGHT.. ON RIGHT"!!! (fml). Anyways, a lady did notice us and TOLD us to wait a moment and they'd clear a table for us. 5 employees and she's telling cook what to make and we need to wait till she's done i suppose. Didn't wait to find out 'cause we said screw this. If they can't clean off a table previous to us coming in and have us stand there like we should be privileged to be there... they're out there F'n mind. Left to go to the Waffle House 2 miles up road (3340 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze) where they had a seat ready... And get this... Food in less than 10 minutes with the friendliest people we've experienced on our VK. The other place sucked! Probably would have made crappy GRITS. So I'm happy we went to other...
