Thai 54- Esaan Cuisine — Restaurant in Gulf Breeze

Sadly I think they have been struggling. It's been a few years since I've last been but last week was pretty unfortunate. It started when we had to share two menus amongst us all (a party of 5) and ordered 3 beers and 2 glasses of wine, they only had enough wine for one glass (which made me question how long that bottle had sat but it was drinkable). I ordered water so my friend could have the wine. And it was just bottled water (that cost $2) No complaints about the food. But then we had to wait quite a while after we were ready to go since there was only two people in the entire place and they were multiple to go orders that came in. It made me sad because I know it's a family business that I'm sure has struggled this last two years and I remember what they once were but also it's not something I'm willing to give a second chance...

At my suggestion, my family and I recently got takeout here, twice. The first time was so good that my parents requested the 2nd time! The food definitely did not disappoint. We got the drunken noodles, pad Thai, and massaman curry. It was delicious both times! I was captivated by how absolutely gorgeous the view of the sunset is from their location! I will definitely dine in here in the future when I’m in town (I live out of town). I only gave 4 stars bc it’s not the easiest to find/the signage needs to be better, and the use of styrofoam takeout containers. Styrofoam is not only terrible for the environment, but hot food in styrofoam and plastic containers breaks down the chemicals and they end up in your food-...

We would highly recommend Thai 54. We have lived here almost four years and have never tried it until last night. Our loss! It is a great location on the water (near Lillos) with a mix of Asian and beach vibe. The external signage is not the greatest and the outside lighting is poor, so you kindof wonder if it is even open. Pretty sure they are open every evening of the week until 8:00 pm. So, don’t let the questionable exterior scare you away. I had the Thom Ka soup with chicken. Amazingly good. My wife had Drunken Noodles. She is pretty picky, but she loved them.
