about a month ago we were all sitting down having sushi and we wanted spicy mayo, our waitress ( someone told me that she was one of the owners) was very rude she brought a small thing of spicy mayo, obviously we asked for more, she brought another small thing of spicy mayo, we had ordered like 9 rolls of sushi between all of us, we asked her for more, she then rolled her eyes and said you guys still have some. obviously she wanted us to share and double dip, we had to ask another waitress and she came and brought us another thing of spicy mayo. it was ridiculous the price is already high and for us to be begging for condiments while we were eating dinner seriously ruined the night... So about a week ago I wanted some more sushi and I called it in because honestly I didn't want to go sit there and have a rude waitress again, anyway I got there a man had come and went to get my order, I told him I needed 4 little trays of spicy mayo, I told him to take the yum yum sauce already in my bad and switch it to spicy mayo and I asked for 2 extra ones for us. so he went and got it, then this lady again comes and takes my payment and I told her that I had asked for 4 things of spicy mayo- in case she needed to charge me extra- the guy comes back and she starts arguing with the guy in front of me about the spicy mayo, the guy is telling her that I gave back the yum yum sauce and wanted the spicy mayo instead. by then they are going back and forth in front of me about some spicy mayo. take into consideration I have no problem paying for extra spicy mayo I just don't understand what her problem is. she then gives me an attitude and only gives me two spicy mayo instead of the 4 I asked. I don't understand what their problem is, seriously every time we go we spend $50-$80 dollars there. SO MY POINT OF THIS IS DO NOT GO THERE, THEY ARE RUDE AND HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GIVING YOU EXTRA SPICY MAYO. INSTEAD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THEY LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER. I WENT AND GOT SUSHI YESTERDAY FROM ANOTHER RESTAURANT AND THEY GAVE ME AS MUCH SPICY MAYO AS I WANTED. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. DO NOT...
Read moreFried rice with lima beans and corn?? Grilled vegetables with mushrooms?? Whole chicken breasts?? Thinking they shop for ingredients at Walmart... (I buy the same vegetable mixes from there for use at home) only one waitress and she did a great job. Food lacked flavor. Habachi show was the worst we have ever seen. Got soup then fried rice with corn and lima beans arrived , then the steak was done, then our salad arrived, then vegetables were done, and finally the whole chicken breasts were diced and overcooked with little flavor. Much to our surprise the lackluster cook heated up some flavorless noodles and threw on top of the pile of mixed flavorless food???? The only highlights were the steak was done perfectly and the only waitress in the entire building was doing her best. The music they played was modern radio mix. Odd to be in a so called Japanese steakhouse and listen to top 40 at an excessive volume. Watched the manager/owner stand at the register figuring the checks instead of managing and or helping the single waitress. As locals, we had not been to this restaurant in almost 6 years after a previous substandard meal. It's nice to know they have maintained their reputation 🤮 If you look closely, between the cobwebs on the vent hood they are cooking under and filth on the walls and windows, it looks as though they have not cleaned since the last time we were there(6 years ago). If the dining area was so filthy, I wonder what the kitchen looks like?? May call the health department... obviously, I would not recommend this resturant even to the tourists that will obviously eat at any restaurant that is open...unless you are constipated, this will likely cure that...
Read moreI live local and have done so all my life. I drive by this establishment quite often but never get the urge to stop. I’m not sure if it’s because it always looks as if it’s closed or because no one ever really talks about it. My husband and I love hibachi and we eat at ichiban a lot. We decided instead to dine here for father’s day. The atmosphere is deceiving. It’s rather upscale for a sushi and hibachi grill so we were certain that the food would be the same. Man were we wrong. For starters, my toddler son decided to place with a portion cup for sauces that was presented as clean but was quite the opposite. It wasn’t the only one Will caked rice and yum yum sauce on our table. Pushing those to the side for some new ones we were still optimistic for our dinner. I have a seafood allergy so the waitress refused to cook my husbands shrimp for fear it may touch my food. Thank you, but we’ve seen this done before. It’s a pretty simple task actually. He ordered the filet hibachi and I ordered the chicken teriyaki. $3.00 extra for fried rice? Everything was flavorless and the portion would have feed my toddler child who was with us. Neither of us even ate half of our dinner as were completely turned off by this place. The service was just as bad as the food. I’ve literally eaten better hibachi from the food court in tanger mall and that’s saying a lot. Don’t waste $60.39 at this place...
