First, I am a business owner and have never formally complained about an employee from another business. Second, the last several times I have been in this restaurant I have not had a good experience. Today my son wanted to have lunch there , his choice to eat anywhere because he leaves for Basic Training on Monday. The manager, Ashley, was extremely rude right off the bat! He ordered a sandwich with bread, chicken and bacon, she added shredded cheese to it, when we said something about the cheese, she (with a very obvious attitude) said she could "just remake the whole thing", it wasn't WHAT she said, but HOW it was said. We let this slide and said we would take it as it was, thanked her and moved on. (All of the other girls working were extremely nice) After we paid I came back to the cashier to say I had accidentally ordered a large fountain drink by mistake and needed a Gatorade instead since my son is trying to stop drinking caffeine before leaving for Basic. Ashley, again with attitude said "I'll have to void the WHOLE ticket and re-ring everything" I offered to pay the difference if we owed more and she said, (AGAIN I cannot express that it isn't WHAT she said, BUT the attitude as she said it) "I cannot do it that way, the owner wants it done a certain way and I have to do it that way!" I told the cashier not to worry about it, that I would keep the drink and buy an additional Gatorade. I was becoming very frustrated. Ashely was still standing there when I came back with my card, I told her I was not trying to make her day difficult and I would just pay for another drink. This continued with her "explaining" the policy to me, AGAIN with ALOT of attitude! At this point, more frustrated, I told her she had a terrible attitude even from the beginning as we were ordering our food. I have never been treated this rudely in a restaurant, especially by a manager. The things we were asking for were not difficult and could have been handled easily with professionalism. Had it been my store I would not tolerate any of my employees treating a customer that way! I understand sometimes we all have bad days, which is why I do not normally complain, but she was over the top! Read moreI recently worked at this place as part time. I was hired on the 5th of May and still have not received my check. I was horrified at the conditions of the restaurant, and the rudness of management. I accidentally left my Bible there overnight, the next day I was told I would be called. I have not heard anything from them since. I have contacted corporate my attorney and the IRS., They pay cash, they only hire young women, no men. These young women are women who are trying desperately to get there children back from the DHR system. Most of them are still in that horrible drug that is killing our young people. Those owners know that these mother's will do anything to get there children back even being treated like slaves. Hey_ this is America, these young women are American. Owners are NOT. You cannot come to our country and treat our young women this way. If I could picket this place I would. Know this, that those owner's will stand before God for what they are doing. Read moreThe three ladies who were working today 9/13/2020 at approximately 2pm were not wearing masks while make sandwiches. One of the workers was coughing continuously over the open sandwich meats and vegetables. When we asked about why they weren't wearing masks the lady who was coughing became belligerent and said they had been "slammed all day". My husband reminded her that this is all the more reason to wear the mask as she had served a large number of people without a mask. We were then told that we dont have to eat there and we could leave. So we left and went to Burger King where everyone was wearing masks and gloves and they were friendly. I hope the coughing employee isnt infected w covid but I will report this to the Alabama Health Department and Subway corporate offices just in case there is an outbreak...
