I used to regularly hit a deli over in La Puente, but every time I showed up on a Wednesday, they were closed. Frustrated, I stumbled across Hacienda Heights Meat & Deli, and let me tell you—happy coincidence. This place does everything right: fresh cold sandwiches, hot food made daily, and it’s all genuinely delicious. They've got a huge Tuesday special called the “Torpedo” — a long sub that feeds two or three for just nine bucks. I’ve had that before and it's fantastic, but this time I went with something different. I started with their Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo after a guy in line insisted it was a lunch-and-dinner plate. He was spot on. Big portion, fresh sauce, garlic bread included, and it easily split into two meals. For about sixteen bucks, you’re getting real value. Then I grabbed a Turkey and Swiss sandwich with pepperoncini for the airport. I never order turkey, but this sandwich flipped the switch—fresh, meaty, and one of the best turkey sandwiches I’ve had. Think proper deli portion, not that sad thin-sliced stuff. The two meals together ran me around thirty-two bucks, and you better believe I walked away full and happy. Parking’s easy, free spaces right across from Vons. The staff is friendly, the kitchen hums along, and they’ve even got a mini Italian-market vibe inside. This establishment has been here for 40 years it goes to show done something right being in business for so long, the food here is authentic Italian and delicious, and most is made on the premises. They have a big selection in their deli of meats, and chicken, sausages. The sandwiches are big, they also have a big selection of imported Italian products. We had dinner here a couple of days ago ordered an Italian beef sandwich and a meatball sandwich, and potato salad. All three dishes were flavorful and delicious. The sandwiches were big, with plenty of meat. The potato salad was really good, you can tell it was made there. There are many items on the menu, special Tuesday is a big sub for only $9.99 that can feed three people. The interior is put together nicely. There are plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy your meal. They also have outside seating. The customer service is really good they make you feel at home here, courteous, and friendly. I was looking for some Italian deli sandwiches for my day at work today. So I searched along my route to work for a spot and came across this spot. I saw they had Italian beef sandwiches and it was a special of the day so I decided to drop in. I've been craving the Italian beef sandwich after watching the show The Bear. The cashier that helped me is the owners wife I believe. She was very helpful and knew about the bear lol. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and soup or salad special along with a reg Italian beef sandwich. Let's start of with the half sandwich which was the pastrami and minestrone soup. One of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in awhile. The bread was nice and soft and plenty of meat, mustard and pickles. The minestrone was good. Now to the Italian beef sandwich. I've had a few recently and my first experience was ok.
