I am a customer who recently picked up an order from this restaurant. DO NOT EAT FROM HERE THEY ARE VIOLATING FOOD AND SAFETY STANDARDS. If I could give no stars I would because they do not deserve it.
Let me start by saying that I have ordered from here before through a 3rd party (Ubereats) and had no complaints as the food didn’t taste bad. However, I had no idea of the horrors in this kitchen. I will never be going back.
This time, I went to pick up an order that I placed through Ubereats. When I arrived the order was not ready so myself and 3 year old stood and waited. As we waited my 3 year old started pointing out all the ants and bugs she saw in the small waiting area of this establishment. She pointed out ants and other bugs. When it was our turn to get out order the woman behind the counter (who identified as the manager—whom I later found out is not the GM for the restaurant) who was unmasked the entire time (despite signs saying everyone should wear one) went to the back to prepared and assemble my order. Since we waited for a period of time for the food I was able to observe that she had not washed her hands before preparing the food. I watched to her talk on the phone, touch her face, hair, computer keys, and phone. She did not wash her hands before going to prepare the food, nor did she tie her long hair back while getting the food. I asked her to not touch my food with dirty hands. She said ok and still did it. I restated myself and she continued. At this point I told her that it was really nasty to touch food (the pizza, the dipping sauces that she through in the box, the banana peppers) with her dirty hands. After a little back and forth she OFFERED to cancel the order. I said absolutely and left the store upset, hungry, and completed grossed out. After this awful experience I contacted Ubereats support and papa johns customer service. After days of contacting and disputing the almost $75 dollar order (as we had family over) I finally received a refund.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT UNLESS YOU ARE THERE TO SEE THEM PREPARE YOUR FOOD!
Much of the people coming in and out were Ubereats drivers and such. I told one about what was going on with the order and she really didn’t care. She said, “well this is an Ubereats order so…”
Moral of my story is, be careful of the food you put in your body. You could be eating the “manager’s” dirt, dandruff, and/or snot. I will never eat here again.
I am pregnant and if I didn’t go to pick up this order I would never have known how filthy this place is as well as the female manager that...
Read moreFor the sake of the brand’s reputation, this employee should not continue working at this location.
I ordered a cheese pizza for carryout and received a notification saying it was ready. But when I arrived, the staff member completely ignored me, being too busy on the phone. I had to interrupt him to ask about my order, and he rudely told me it wasn’t ready. Even after I showed him proof on my phone that the order was ready, he kept cutting me off, pointing his finger at me, and saying, “I’m working alone right now, and your order doesn’t exist—what do you want me to do?”
After some back and forth, he finally found my order and told me he had canceled it. Instead of apologizing, he rudely added, “I refunded your money, so what’s the problem?” His dismissive and defensive attitude was completely unprofessional.
This behavior was rude, unacceptable, and does not reflect well on the brand. I won’t be returning to this location, and I strongly urge Papa John’s to address this issue...
Read moreI usually love the taste of this pizza, but in the middle of a pandemic, why is it the last two times I went into this store, ABSOLUTELY no one had on a mask!? I am a healthcare worker with a family, and ordering pizza after a long day to feed my family, I should feel comfortable that the basic precautions, especially during a pandemic are being upheld, and they weren’t. I understand it may get hot back there, but I mean they didn’t even pretend to wear the mask. Not even the greeter had their mask on. This needs to be reported. From reading the other comments I am not the only one who...
