Tiny place, portions are tiny, taste is subpar…
Hard to find a good Thai place in the Bergen county area. So far the ranking is Eagle Thai in cliff park, then between Green Papaya in Hackensack and Khoa Thai in Englewood. Was expecting better with the 4.6 stars but was sadly disappointed. And we got a lot of different variety of dishes. Only benefit was that it was close to Singas Famous Pizza which made the experience not a total waste. Food really was eh and with the small portions just felt like a waste of money. Oh well. Not going back to this place
Updating to add the response to the owner's reply: it was a dinner portion that we ordered on a Monday (as stated in the review and we spent over $400 worth of food) so regardless of lunch special or not, that is irrelevant. We didn't even get utensils or paper plates for our order (not that we needed it but most other places will include at least chopsticks and spoons). and my response to your "a lot of good Thai restaurants in Bergen County response," I will just limit any further responses other than I've been to plenty of Thai restaurants (and then some) across the WORLD to know what is good and bad so my ratings are pretty fair (and if anything generous for your restaurant for what we got), what is reasonably priced, and what good sized portions are, and when you provide a container of food that is 3/4 full other than the container of jasmine rice, you know the portions are considered stingy. For your internal improvement opportunities, I would recommend that you try take-out food from your competitors in the surrounding areas to compare their quality and portions to better gauge if your portions are reasonable or not (to eliminate any bias). And all good business owners and managers does this to better...
Read moreTwo months ago, we went to eat at Bangkok Station after reading good rating reviews of this restaurant. Don’t trust it. Restaurant is terrible. Worst Thai food we have ever eaten and it does not even taste like authentic Thai food at all. We had chicken satay, pad Thai as well as pineapple, chicken n shrimp fried rice. The pad Thai was ridiculous as it was not even stir fried at all. It is like they boiled the noodle n just add some sauce, the sauce is just stir with tomato ketchup n siracha chilly sauce n then added bean sprout n sprinkled some crush peanut on it. Worst of all, it was served with a slice of LEMON instead of lime used in authentic Thai pad. When i asked about it, I was told owner prefer lemon . 😡 The pineapple fried rice was really bad. It was not hot and and definitely does not taste like Thai pineapple fried rice. The satay chicken was tasteless n peanut is tasteless. Please think it twice before going there. Place was squeezy and cold as well. We also had to ask for cutlery so that we can eat our food.
Found the receipt. We were here on 11/1/2025 ie. almost 5 months ago instead of 2. Wanted to post a review then because we were so disappointed but never got to it until now. Note that I do post positive comments when there are good things to say...
Read moreFirst time having eaten here and the place was adorable and the woman inside was very friendly. The food was very tasty. However, a bit different than the Thai food we’ve had in NYC and in other places in Bergen county. Maybe different regions of Thailand have slightly different variations of food. For instance there was raisins in the pineapple fried rice, and I believe tumeric (?) or possibly curry(?) it was good just different than what we’ve had before. The pad see ew also had nice flavor but their version had regular broccoli instead of gai lan (Chinese broccoli) I prefer the bitterness and crisp bite from gai lan, but it was still good. The pad thai had an orangey/ tangy flavor, again good, just unexpected. The shumai was delicious.
Overall it was very tasty, and a nice change up from our usual thai places, we will try...
