Disappointing and Misleading – Green Tea Strawberry Cake at Paris Baguette
I recently ordered the Green Tea Strawberry Cake from Paris Baguette, expecting the same delightful treat I had a few months ago. Unfortunately, what I received was a huge disappointment and a far cry from what I remembered.
The most glaring issue was the complete lack of green tea flavor. In fact, the cake tasted nothing like green tea at all. Instead, it was bland and generic, with no depth or distinct flavor. It’s misleading to market a cake as “green tea” when it doesn’t even contain that key ingredient.
To make matters worse, the cake was aesthetically unappealing. The cream topping, which I suspect was meant to evoke a green tea flavor, looked artificial. It appeared as though green food coloring had been added, giving it a synthetic appearance. The overall presentation felt rushed and lacked the finesse I had come to expect from Paris Baguette.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I have ordered this cake multiple times over the years, and just a few months ago, it was the proper green tea flavor and beautifully presented. Clearly, the quality and recipe have changed, and unfortunately, it’s not for the better. The lack of consistency is disappointing, and it’s hard to trust a brand that doesn’t deliver on its promises.
Overall, this was a major letdown. If you’re craving an authentic green tea cake, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Paris Baguette has missed the mark this time, and I won’t be ordering this...
Read moreI am giving this place 5 stars because I liked their fruit pastry and croissants a lot, but, I have some mixed feelings about this place!. I headed there quite excited by the cool bakery and neighborhood cafe concept they promote on their website. I had the purpose of sharing a good breakfast with someone with whom I arranged a business meeting. Arriving at 9:30 am, everything was very clean, very nice setting, but some displays were still empty. My real disappointment came, when I ordered a Turkey mozzarella panino, and my companion ordered a Ham egg swiss croissant, after being charged for them, and while we were waiting for the sandwiches, we were informed that they were not serving that day or until further notice, therefore we must have had breakfast with the traditional bakery options. They also did not have the specialty coffees that are offered on the menu available, only regular coffee and regular milk (Not oat milk or almond milk).
One of the bright spots of this visit was the decision to buy a Duet roll cake to take away; I bought one of these for my companion to take to his company and share it with his colleagues for dessert after lunch, and they were...
Read moreJust recently visited your store. Been there lots of times. Because we like the milk bread and cream bread and bubble donuts. But this time I was little concerned , because I see that you have the mocha cake with peanuts. I asked the server, that someone in family has severe peanut allergy. If I buy the strawberry cheesecake, do you think it would be safe??? Or is it cross contamination??? He said first it’s no peanut in it. Will be safe. And i asked him again, are you sure, Then He said it’s 50-50%. That is not a good answer. It should have been. Either Yes it’s totally separate from where they use peanut. Or it is not safe because cross contamination. But with smiling he said it’s 50-50%. Made me very concerned. And also because he thinks it’s a joke. Also he said that the display strawberry cheesecake is the last cheesecake. I asked him if that is fresh? He said yes. I bought it, but I tell you it has an old , been there little while taste. So most likely was not...
