Went in, manager guy asked me what I wanted. Started to say “I want a 2-piece combo…” and he immediately walked away from me and grabbed a box. I saw he was starting to throw mild chicken into it. Not sure if that was supposed to be my order or not, so I continued my order by saying to him loudly and clearly “…with two spicy chicken breasts…”
He didn’t respond, and kept his back to me the whole time. I started thinking maybe he was putting together an order for someone in the drive-thru since he obviously didn’t realize/care that I was even there at this point.
After a couple of minutes he turned back to me and walked toward the cash register, asking me “what side would you like?” I looked at the register screen. He had typed in a combo with a mild wing and a mild drumstick.
So I said “well I would like mashed potatoes and gravy, with my two spicy breasts.” He then looked at me like he was angry. He spun around and walked back over to the back counter, grabbed the box and dumped the contents into a metal bin. Then he used his tongs to start roughly throwing chicken pieces around in a tray. After about 45 seconds of this he turned to me and said “we don’t have spicy breasts.”
I said “thanks,” and walked out.
Basically this manager does not want to do this job. At all. I can only imagine how the employees who follow his example act out.
Hackensack,...
Read moreWe love Popeye’s but this location is really bad. I was there to get dinner, 8 pcs. chicken and a large red beans and rice. But before I get to order, the staff were busy talking to each other like they are having a meeting and not paying attention to the customers in line and those waiting for their orders. Another staff took my order. So, I was waiting for my order for 15 minutes already and I ask the guy that looks like the manager if my order is ready and to make sure there should be no breasts in the box as I specifically told them. So, he checked and replaced it. But then, he suddenly left the box of chicken open and talked to another employee. So, I waited again. I have to ask another employee to finish what he had left. When I came home, the chicken is okay. Not as fresh and crispy as it should be. (I am only 2 minutes away from the store.) The red beans and rice is spoiled. It is sour in taste. I have to go back and return it. I told the lady employee that it was spoiled and she said , “they always make it fresh” I returned it so they should also be aware. Thinking that they might learn something from the customer feedback, specially not selling spoiled food. Hope they learn and be...
Read moreWell, I see why all the reviews are bad for this location. My review is not based on the food but the customer service. I stopped by to pick up some chicken to take home. When I went in the guy was busy helping other people but there was no acknowledgment of my presence no acknowledgment that I even came to the store I waited a good 6 minutes to see if someone would ask if i am being helped. They all kept looking at me and kept on doing what they were doing. This one girl came to the register, punching in a few buttons. She looked me dead in the face and still did not ask me if I was being helped. I think this is so wrong and extremely poor customer service. I mean, I don't care how great your chicken is; you should not be treating anyone this way. Even just to say listen, I'm busy. I'll be right with you! nothing! it was like I didn't even exist so I just walked right out of the store shaking my head I know popeye's already made it's name they always gonna have people but it's just really horrible to treat your customers this way or anyone this way for a matter of fact. I will never darken the doorway of this location ever again, and Its sad because I live right down the...
