Creative Cakes by Donna – Wedding Cake Review

Paula from Creative Cakes by Donna was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire planning process. She was incredibly helpful when it came to choosing the perfect flavors, especially considering both my husband and I have gluten intolerance. Her knowledge and care made the process easy and stress-free.

The cake itself was delicious — moist with just the right balance of flavors. The combination of berries and chocolate was perfect and delighted all of our guests. We wanted a simple cake that matched our wedding theme and reflected our personalities, and Paula nailed it perfectly.

A special touch that made the cake even more meaningful was how it incorporated my husband’s woodworking hobby. The beautiful flowers on the cake were wood, and the wooden slab the cake rested on was hand-cut by him. It was such a unique and personal detail that really made the cake stand out.

Throughout the entire process, Paula was patient, kind, and attentive, always making sure we were happy and comfortable with every decision. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a delicious, beautiful, and thoughtfully made wedding cake!

We were able to get a cake from Creative Cakes by Donna for our wedding at the Pond House Café and are so glad we did! We really enjoyed the tasting where we got to try a variety of cake and fillings. We ultimately decided on a chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. We also got to talk through some design ideas with Donna while she sketched out our vision of a winter cake inspired by a cable knit sweater. She was so friendly and easy to work with! When we saw our cake at the wedding, it was so beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. The only thing better than how it looked was how it tasted – it was hands down the best wedding cake I’ve ever had! We had so many of our guests tell us how good it was. If I could give no stars I would. I was presented with not only the wrong cake at my wedding but a cake that was old....so old ....maybe a week or so not even days....I am a Baker and everyone expected A CAKE for my wedding and I chose A CAKE ....a delicious vanilla/almond flavored cake with amaretto icing. When did my tasting I had so much hope .....unfortunately "Cakes by Donna" dropped off a marble cake with vanilla frosting which was a week old. None of my guests ate it.... the entire cake was left behind..... It was horrible. She never gave me money back or discounted me for another cake ....she didnt even care that she ruined my day!!! I personally would stay away if you want your day to be special and you want what you want DO NOT GO TO DONNA. I truly Hope I was helpful.
