It’s sad- I almost feel bad leaving this review but it must be said - service and food started out well- as the evening went on the service and the food declined at an alarming rate. We started with the gnocchi and antipasti Gnocchi was 10/10 and the service was great, to start. I ordered the halibut special, my two guests had the seafood trio. As our mains came out, we all had empty glasses - our server brought 2/3 sodas back and just kinda left me hanging until I had to specifically ask. Halibut was insanely dry and over cooked with absolutely no seasoning. The seafood trio was almost unpalatable. The scallops in particular just didn’t taste like real scallops, were over cooked, which I can understand considering how easy it can be to do with scallops but they were blatantly off. Nothing was seasoned, at all. I found myself having to put salt and pepper on my food to make it desirable. Now- from a culinary perspective I can understand the thought process of “let the quality and favor of the food stand for itself” which would provide insight to the “don’t over season the food” thought process. But that methodology requires high quality ingredients that are cooked perfectly, which this restaurant seemingly didn’t/cant do. This is a 1 star restaurant with 3-4 star prices. For 3 mains and two starters, it was $174. This place is a BYOB so that’s strictly for food only. At $58/person, I’d expect significantly better. For context, I am 39 year old male who dines out 3-4 times a week and have been fortunate enough to enjoy some of the higher end restaurants in major “food” cities throughout the world. I was hoping for something drastically more. Would not recommend, would...

TL/DR: Anthony's Creative Italian Cuisine in Haddon Heights offers amazing Italian food

We were strolling around the Haddon Heights holiday street festival and decided to stop in Anthony's Creative Italian Cuisine on Station Ave. We didn't have a reservation, but it was early, and they were able to seat us. SO glad they were able to, it was a flawless experience.

The atmosphere is elegant and perfectly lit, our server Janine took amazing care of us. We started with a scallops and bacon appetizer that was served on the bacon rather than wrapped around, it was perfectly sauteed and the bacon was thick and flavorful. When we ordered, we discussed to ourselves (I thought) that we would split a Caesar Salad. It was served to us on two plates, already split by the kitchen. A small thing, but a nice touch. For our mains, I had the Veal Parmigiana and my girlfriend ordered the signature Crab Tomasso.

My veal was a huge, bone-in cut, pounded to a perfect thinness and expertly prepared. It had wonderful flavor and is enough for at least two meals. My girlfriend's Crab Tomasso was also perfectly prepared and huge, with tons of lump crabmeat.

I can't say enough good things about the staff, from the hostess finding a table for us, to Janine's perfectly attentive service for the whole meal. Great Italian food, comfortable atmosphere and wonderful service in a quaint South...

From the moment I walked in and was pleasantly greeted- being seated graciously at the intimate table for two in the window ( it was only me and my book for a long-overdue dinner date) - my experience just kept getting better. The staff, the atmosphere, the food-.... Ohh the food. Crab bisque- stunning Shrimp risotto - magnificent with the perfect cooked grain Pear salad- the reviews don't lie

I took the house special lamb and my dessert home. My eyes and heart said “yum, yummy”. My stomach said- absolutely not” Update- I had one bite of the Italian lemon cake- my son ate it before I could get a bite.

I have eaten in many great and famous restaurants -some worth the price and many not. This space with its very budget-friendly menu ( what the soup is only-$ how much. ???)- is better with all-around quality- staff, food, and experience than many high-end priced restaurants I've ever had.

I will be back with the family, many friends and I'm already planning my second book date.

The staff was excellent - perfectly shared space- everyone was kind, and genuine with knowledge about the menu and house favorites..

To my darling waitress- who is also a school teacher. Blessings to you and for your class of aspiring 8th graders- Zora Neale Hurston, “Their Eyes Were...

Awesome time. Had dinner for 7 to celebrate my mom's 77th birthday. This was our first time here and I'm so glad that this special moment happened at this restaurant. Trust me when I tell you that there was nothing out of place, service was top notch and every single item that came out of the kitchen was 5/5. We shared calamari, meatballs and clams casino appetizers. It was exciting to see the 2 kids trying and enjoying new things. For dinner, many of us chose similar meals. Between the tuna, chicken parm and short rib ragu, you really can't pick a favorite. By dessert, we were full, but our gracious host acknowledged my mom's birthday with mini cannolies that allowed us to sing HBD. Best cannoli I've ever had. This place is a gem and I'm all about it. My mom had the best night.

Outstanding meal! Dined on a Saturday night. First time visiting. Waiting area was packed. (Great sign we were going to have a great meal.) Reservation is a must. We were seated in the second floor rear dining room. Very nice space. Quiet-- no overcrowding of table space. Our server, Janine, was excellent. She knew the menu and helped us with our choices. For starters, we shared the meatballs and summer caprese salad. Perhaps the best meatballs we've eaten in the area. The salad was an amazing explosion of flavor-- yummy. For entrees, we enjoyed the chicken francaise with lump crab and pan seared branzino with shrimp. Again, amazing flavor and generous portions-- 10 out of 10. It's BYOB another plus. Expect to spend $50 - $60 per person-- well worth it for a night out.
