Hard to understand how this place functions as a business. My experience is one I will not be repeating. Around 5 PM of a weekday afternoon, I walked in and presented myself at the counter near the cash register. And there I stood for at least five minutes. An older woman who it turned out was the counterworker was wandering the seating area doing some personal business on her phone. She pointedly kept her back to me. A cook peeked out at me once from the back, apparently decided I was of no account. Eventually a young woman appeared, asking what I wanted. As I was asking for a sandwich with onion, she interrupted me to brusquely say, "We're out of onions." We agreed on a selection and she disappeared into the back. The woman on the phone came over to the counter, ignoring me as I chose to ignore her. She went into the back and began to crow about how she was getting a new car. After 10 minutes or so, the young woman placed a sandwich on the counter, told the older woman what it was and disappeared again. The older woman place the sandwich in a bag, pushed it toward me and said "Thank you." Perhaps, given the service level, I should have taken the sandwich and walked out. But I wondered out loud if I shouldn't pay for the food. Remembering that was a thing, the older woman rang up the sale on the cash register and nearly made the correct change as she talked with a customer on the phone.
Perhaps I could have given the place two stars, but the food was mediocre at best. Again, an experience I will not be repeating.
