Had to regretfully change my review. I have been coming here for at least 15 years, since the original owner opened the establishment. We’ve had minor snafu’s with past orders but nothing in regards to the quality. Yesterday, I ordered a large cheesesteak pizza, a large buffalo chicken pizza, a kids cheese pizza and a stuffed pepper. It cost $54 after my $5 off coupon and I gave $60 and told them to keep the change. This was a pick up order and I should have checked the food before I left BUT I have never had an issue like this before. The cheesesteak pizza barely had any cheesesteak meat on it whatsoever. It was literally a pizza crust and basically all American cheese. Didn’t taste good at all. The buffalo chicken pizza was great, skimped on the chicken a tad but it was really good. The kids pizza was a waste for $7. It was fresh dough but it just didn’t taste great. It wasn’t made like their regular cheese pizza. I should have just ordered 2 plain slices for my kids on the side but the woman on the phone talked me into ordering a kids pizza, which would be 4 cheese slices of pizza. I didn’t know they offered that so I gave it a shot in case the kids didn’t want the other pizza. When you go in and see their pizza at the counter, you expect to get the same quality when you order your pizzas on the phone. Definitely NOT the case last night at all. It’s almost like they save the quality pizza so sell as individual slices at the counter but don’t care at all about the quality of the actual pick up orders or something. I don’t know what’s going on there. I know that food costs have gone up tremendously during the pandemic but if a restaurant wants to keep their day one customers since opening (15+ years) then they would keep the same quality of food across the board and just raise the prices of the food accordingly, to keep providing that same quality. I’ve never once had such a bad experience here. I had my friends and family fall in love with this place and they come here every time they visit NJ. I’m hoping that this is just an issue with the cook that was on last night and not a precursor of what the food and service is going to be like in the future. $60 is a lot of money for 2 pizzas and a kids pizza that’s the size of a small personal cheese pizza and it was not good. I hope that the owner reads this and makes some changes. If I had known that the pizza would have been so skimpy then I would have asked for the whole pies on the counter to go bc what they made to order was completely opposite of what they usually make....
Read moreWe asked for mild buffalo wings. We took the food home and opened the box. The chicken was burnt. They covered them with the mild buffalo sauce thinking we were not going to notice. We took it back to the restaurant and they lied and said that we asked for blackened buffalo chicken. I told them we did not order blackened buffalo chicken and I gave them the receipt to prove it. The cook was mad because he had to make us another order. Everyone who works behind that counter can speak English fluently. However, the cook and two other men began to talk about me in their own language. I knew that because all three of them were looking at me as the cook was talking. I was the only customers in the restaurant at the time. I wanted my money back but I didnt have my debit card on me for the refund, so I decided to get another order of buffalo wings from them. The cook, who was frustrated aggressively tossed my wings in the frying basket and aggressively dropped my chicken in the deep fryer. I wanted to walk out, but I could not get a refund. After the chicken was done, I took the freshly cooked order and made sure I checked to see if they were made the right way. I took the order of buffalo wings which were $26.95. Tu Sei Bella is not the restaurant I once knew. The cook should have had a better attitude about the return of the food. Tu Sei Bella has lost a customer. I miss the Italians who had the restaurant before. The new owners should change the name. Nothing in there is Italian except for the menu. And NO I would not like to discuss anything with you. Live up to the Italian name on your restaurant or CLOSE UP SHOP!! You are a FRAUD to the public. I don't trust anyone who cooks without love in their heart for the people they serve.
People go home and cook your own food anyway....
Read moreThis place has definitely gone way down hill with the new ownership. We used to frequent here weekly and spent a lot of money for really great food....I even had them cater my sons college graduation party. Giovanni was the previous owner and the place was top notch in quality, quantity, and price. My wife and I stopped in at lunch and no one greeted us upon entering and the place was empty customer wise. Employees that were working were all huddled up in the back messing around, talking, and on their phones. We proceeded to seat ourselves and 2 different tables we attempted to sit at were still dirty and not even wiped off, let alone disinfected or sanitized. We finally found a table that "looked" clean and sat down. After a few minutes a male employee came over and handed us menus, asked if we wanted something to drink, his face mask was down below his nose. We ordered the drinks and he left to get them. I noticed he was by the soda machine now talking with another female employee whose masks wasn't up over her face either. After a few minutes he returned with our drinks and now his mask was completely down. I said excuse me, aren't you supposed to have your mask up? He snidely said oh yeah and pulled it up, not I'm sorry or anything. I asked does Giovanni still own this place? He laughed and said nah, its a new owner as he walked away and started whispering and laughing with the other female employee looking back at us. My wife and I just got up and walked out. No one tried to stop us or ask what the problem was. Horrible! What a shame as this place built its reputation over the years only to have it destroyed. Needless to say we will never be back and I caution anyone before dining...
