I can’t say that I have been to many Sonics as there are not that many near where I live. I decided to go to this one all the way up in Audubon as it was a skip and a hop from my PCP’s office. After my appointment, I decided to shake it up a bit and come here. Well, let me tell you that when you request anything off the menu, you’ll get EXACTLY what you’re getting!!! I ordered quite a few things, starting with the Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster w/ a side of Mozzarella Sticks & Marinara Sauce (That’s right; I said Mozzarella Sticks ALONGSIDE the sandwich), Ched ‘R’ Peppers’ w/ Ranch sauce, Honey BBQ Jumbo Popcorn Chicken, &, to top it off, an Oreo & Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce Master Shake. 🧀🥖To start, the mozzarella sticks met my expectations, especially along with the marinara sauce 🍅; whenever I order sticks at any other fast food place, half of the time, they forget to even GIVE me Marinara sauce. In this case, I utilized the sit-in drive-thru & could always utilize the “Red Button” mechanism to request anything if needed, as per the accommodating lady carhop who took my order. 🍞🫑🧀Moving on, the Poppers incorporated good cheddar cheese; my only scrutiny is in the fact that there wasn’t any heat/spice found anywhere since it’s a “Jalapeño” Popper; I assume this is advertised to those who don’t have much of a spice palette. Regardless, it goes well with some ranch dressing if you wanted a sauce. 🍗 Next, I try out the Honey BBQ Popcorn Chicken; I can never get enough of the sauce, but they also really did justice to the crispy texture of the chicken as well. I decided that it was too good for me to finish myself, so I’ll be saving that with someone later. 🥪 I have yet to try the burger, but let me tell you that that burger looks hefty and I expect it to taste hefty in flavor once I take my first bite. Later, I ultimately decide to order tots and CinnaSnacks as I initially wanted to have tots as a side with the Popcorn chicken {ordered the burger by itself}; regardless, I am IMPRESSED at how accurate the tots were not just by the looks but also in the high-tier taste; it was crispy, with that subtle potato aftertaste as it lingers, tempting you to want more of what’s left in the container. 🍟 To conclude, I have also tasted some spoonfuls of the Master Shake; The first thing I though of was Whipped Cream as I thought “how much of that stuff did they put in here?” The batter is very light up top so I had to reach deep to find the cool, concrete-like mixture of Reese’s and Oreos melded together in a soft, but solid bite. 🍨🍦🥜🍪🍫 Alongside that, I had a CinnaSnack, which MELTED in my mouth all so easily, releasing the gooey cinnamon sauce within. 🌰 Overall, this was worth the trip; I paid $40 for everything here, which may seem like a steep hike for the amount I get. But, when it comes to taste, you’re DEFINITELY getting what you’re...
Read moreFirst time visiting this Sonic. Unfortunately it did not go well, whatsoever. The venue was overly crowded and short staffed. My partner and I drove in the same car with another couple to pick up our 2 separate mobile orders. We were only able to select one order to be brought out at a time for the stall we were in, which would have been fine if we didn't have to wait so long. Our order was scheduled to be picked up at 8:00pm. It took over an hour to finally get both orders. While waiting for the first order (about 35 mins), a woman came up to the car asking for cash. She then proceeded to go car to car in the drive thru asking for cash. A Sonic employee did inform her that she was not permitted to do so, but she continued. While watching her we noticed the drive thru was incredibly long, but those in that line were being served at a much quicker pace, despite our mobile order being scheduled for pickup prior to those in the drive thru line even arriving at the establishment. By the time we got the second mobile order we had been in the stall for 45 mins. Unfortunately the order was incorrect. We rang the order button again and were met with an attitude from the employee. Instead of addressing the issue she said she would send someone out. Thankfully, Alyssa came out again with the correct order and apologized for the inconvenience, but did not offer any compensation for the extremely long wait or incorrect order. She took back the incorrect order. It is likely that Alyssa as a server did not have the authority to provide us with any form of compensation, but thankfully she was polite. It was clear she was over-worked, as we saw she was the ONLY employee working the stalls on at least the entire left side of the establishment. While the food was good (reasoning for giving 2 stars instead of 1) and finally after receiving the correct order for the second mobile order, everything was cold and the milkshakes were melted. We will no longer be returning to this establishment on...
Read moreI will never visit here again. The building, restrooms, and surrounding areas are filthy. As we got there the 5yro child with me got a bloody nose, so I pulled into a spot and took him in the ladies room to clean him up. It was disgusting! Then I pulled up to a drive-in screen, pushed the button for service, and after over 5 minutes, ak voice said what's your order? I began to speak, and she rudely interrupted me and said speak up. I started again, and she said hold on. I waited 6 minutes, and another female came on and said are you ready to order now? I said yes but Ive been ready and started my order with the first person who answered and then gave part of my order when she said wait a minute. This time, I waited 10 minutes, but no one came back. During this time, 2 cars had pulled up and beside me, and their orders were taken. One was receiving their food. I asked the waitress what the problem was, and she totally ignored me and kept walking. I finally pulled around to the drive thru, and I asked to speak to the manager. A boy who looked about 16 said I'm the manager, what's up? I told him what happened, and he said oh I'm sorry, we're short staffed, and no one feels like working. What's your order. He could not have cared less. Since I had 3 hungry children (8,8 & 5) in the backseat, I decided to just get them food and not go any further with my complaints. The order was simple, 3 kids meals, chicken fingers, burger, and corn dog, all with fries and a beverage. All 3 were given to me wrong. We received mozzarella stickers and 2 corn dogs, apple sauce, and tater tots. The kids (8,8 &5) said they were hungry and would just share what we were given. The food was barely edible and poorly prepared...
