The Skinny: Completely plant based and gluten free cafe.
Atmosphere: Super chill, trendy and clean place to grab a healthy meal or desserts. Tables to accommodate large parties or just as little as one person dining.
Food: Perfect for vegans, people who are curious or transitioning to vegan food. They also serve everything, gluten free. I ordered the signature Heart Beet Burger at $12. (It's 9/10.) The beet burger was perfectly prepared and had nice crisp edges to it. In my honest opinion, it is better than any beef burger I have tasted because it's lighter in taste and not as heavy and dense. The horseradish aioli had a small kick but I was hoping for more of a punch. That however is subjective and it is my preference and should bear no negativity towards their burger. With my burger, I also had a kale salad that was out of this world good! They put just the right amount of dressing and the kale was not the slightes bit bitter. They also cut the stems off which was greatly appreciated. Hubby had the Breakfast Skillet at $12. (It is 7/10) It came with tofu scramble cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of peppers and onions. Sometimes when you oder a tofu scramble with veggies, the veggies come out soggy. Glad to state these were not. However, the potatoes were a bit harder than he preferred. I tasted a few of them and had to agree. They definitely should have been cooked longer. The fresh avocado that came with the bowl was bright and green and perfectly ripe. We've all had horror stories where eating establishments serve them unripened or overly ripened. One word: yuk. Thankfully this establishment had it down to a science... or luck on our part. ;)
Service: You order your meal at the counter. The cashier calls it into the kitchen and someone brings it out to your table. Quick and efficient. Everyone there was very friendly and if you had any questions about the dessert or entree, they are more than helpful in explaining things to you.
Price/Value: For those of us who cook vegan, gluten free food at home, know the hard work it goes to making a dish. It's totally worth every penny for me.
Would I come back: It took me about a little over an hour and half to get to this establishment. With that, I would still say a definite yes, if I am in the neighborhood.
