Lago Azul was just what we needed after a week of vacationing in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains. The restaurant was clean and easy to find. Our waiter was kind, helpful, and quick. The food was incredible! I had the 1/2 Tinga Taco plate with rice and beans. I make Tinga tacos at home, but mine don't taste quite as good as Lago Azul's. Their chicken is magical. Has been me and my family’s favorite for Mexican food in the valley for years. Very authentic and good prices. It feels good to support a local business from a very nice family. Easy to support because the food is 10/10. Sandy and Tinga tacos never miss. Their nachos are full of flavor and meat, very creamy yet fresh with great chips. The papusas are big and very delicious. The food is decent, but it’s pricey for the small portions. One of the guys working there really lacks customer service—he always seems unhappy to be there and doesn’t show the kind of hospitality most of us expect. I’ve had much better experiences being served by one of the ladies there, she’s always pleasant and welcoming. They also rarely have many of the items listed on their menu, which kinda sucks.. so, if you’re craving something specific, it’s better to go somewhere that will...
