If you’re looking for a local gem, The Yard in Haledon, NJ, is definitely the place to be. As someone new to the neighborhood, I’m thrilled to have found my go-to spot. The food here? Absolutely top-notch. You can tell everything is made fresh, and when it comes to their buffalo wings, trust me—you might think you’ve had wings before, but these are on another level. You can taste the care and love that went into making them.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the amazing staff. Bartenders Dawn,Trevor,Joe, Jamie are incredibly welcoming and know the restaurant inside and out. Sara , Barbie Sequoia and their hospitality and knowledge add so much to the experience. Whether you’re looking for recommendations or just great company, they’ve got you covered.
One of the things I love most about The Yard is the rotating daily specials—perfect for any food enthusiast looking to try something new. The executive chef and his team deserve major props for maintaining such high-quality dishes. And it’s not just the food that’s fantastic. The crowd here is friendly, making every visit a good time.
Looking for entertainment? Karaoke on Wednesdays is something I’m eager to try out. I’ve heard nothing but great things about it, and I’ll be sure to report back. If live music is more your thing, the DJ on Friday and Saturday nights keeps the energy going.
With a great outdoor patio equipped with heat lamps and plenty of street parking (there always seems to be a spot), it’s hard to find a reason not to come back. The Yard is a must-visit, and I know I’ll be here regularly! Hats off to the chef and the entire team for making this...

Read morePlace really upset us, first thing I noticed on the menu is an 18% gratuity added to EVERYBILL!! Just me and my wife, I think that’s embarrassing and shady, because we are good tippers but then you are stuck with bad service regardless , anyway the service was ok, my wife got a steak it was so-so, not bad but no seasoning I make better at home, I got a Texas burger which was a mess, it was so under cooked the meat inside was almost liquid, really wish I could post the picture , most places but the top bun on the side with lettuce to lmaoo pickle whatever, they did it backwards lettuce on the bare plate under pickles and tomato then the bun so had ti grab a handful of shredded lettuce with my bare hands to get it on my burger, after 2 bites and realizing I was eating raw meat the server was understanding and said I’ll get you a whole new plate, fries too. So I didn’t eat the fries that came originally, then someone else brought me a cooked burger but no lettuce tomato or pickle, and NO FRIES. This upset me because the fries I had sitting here for 10 minuets were now ice cold. So all said and done I’m not thrilled then they charge the 18% gratuity then another $3 dollars for using a credit card, over not a great first experience don’t think we’ll be coming back and we live close and we’re excited to try...
