I love Cao Bakery, which I always visit at it's different locations. This time at the Hallandale Blvd. one, I think Manuel needs a little more training. I ordered a cafecito with the regular sugar, and he gave me waay to little coffee with no sugar at all, I asked him to make a new espresso and he put way too much sugar this time and barely stirred the espresso. I know he was by himself and there was another person waiting, but even in that situation, you need to make sure you do your things the right way, so customers can leave happy. I work in a hotel coffee shop, so I know for sure this is possible. Also, I asked him what flavor was one of the small muffins and he told me blueberry...and it was nutella. I like nutella and I ate it anyways but..I think its also important he knows the flavors. What if I hate nutella? Anyways, I know he's a good kid, just needs a little more training 😉 This part I'm adding now before leaving. There is no need to have this restroom like this 🤷🏻‍♂️

i've been going there every day, but often they struggle to understand me. Today I was served an old sandwich, which was stale and cold. At the drive-thru, they frequently interrupt without saying please wait, or uno moment for favor, and pass me to another employee who speaks a different language, requiring me to repeat my order multiple times. After confirming the order, they will ask again at the window. When I try to resolve this by going directly to the drive-thru window, I'm told I need to go back and order at the speaker. The speaker rarely works properly, or the staff can't understand English. Why do I have to accommodate their language barriers in America? What kind of place is this? There are free ESOL Programs & Courses in South Florida, perhaps this company needs to set their policy straight and invest in their employees.

I’ve given this place two tries and both times are a fail the food comes undercooked and half toasted if you want bread . If it’s pastries and coffee you want here in this location specifically you’ll be okay . If you’re looking for a good meal for breakfast or lunch I would give this place some time to really get settled because they’re new and the service is terrible and the food quality also. We did it to go order & My husband had to come home and re-cook his breakfast that was basically raw. My sons eggs look green like they were bad. My steak was cold and chewy The fries were basically raw also terrible. The vibe isn’t that great they seemed very tense and rude especially the guy who is either the manager or owner no customer service at allllllll ! . Will not be going back .

It’s been over a year I don’t visit this location and today I was reminded why. I went through the drive-through with no one in front or behind me. I was advised they no longer sell the chorizo sandwich I was ordering nor do they offer anything with chorizo on the menu except for a burger. Instead, I decided to buy an assortment of pastelitos and croquetas. I was clear that I wanted two of each and was told they don’t sell them that way. She then apparently was confused and asked me to come to the window which I did. When I got there, I repeated my order and she had to ask for assistance from I assume who was her supervisor. I advised the young man again I wanted 2 ham croquetas, 2 of each pastelito. To which he stated they only sold them in boxes of 6. I adjusted my order, according to what he said and ordered 3 of each coconut, beef, cheese and guava. He repeated the order back to me I paid, and I waited. Only to have them come back to the window to advise me there was no coconut left and I could wait 20 minutes or replace it with something else. I thought this was ridiculous considering they actually walked away from the window before I paid to double check and make sure there was the availability of the pastries. To top it off, when I was given the bag of pastries, I noticed they left the croquetas out. When I questioned the young lady about it, she said, OK let me charge you separately. That’s ridiculous considering it was their error. In addition, the replacement pastries for the missing coconut ones were rock hard. At no point was I given an apology, sorry for your inconvenience etc Just here you go, and be on the way. That’s not how business works. There’s a reason why that location has the reviews on yelp and Google...

Really tough for me to give out a one star review but this place has surely earned it. On an individual level, every person that works there is a sweetheart. But as a team probably the worst organized company I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Number one remove the two-sided line you’re going to cause a fight between your patrons. That’s not smart. Number two, handle your order. Meaning if you rang up the order you prep the order. There is no reason why somebody should have to wait 20 to 30 minutes for products that are sitting right there in the window. Three, Forget trying to customize your coffee. There is no way you’re going to get what you asked for. If you like sugar you’re not getting sugar and if you don’t like sugar you’re probably going to get sugar. I’ve been there probably 15 times in the one month that it’s been open and every single time has been an absolute disaster. My suggestion is management needs to be trained and that needs to trickle down to the associates. Do it quick before your newly open business completely gets destroyed by bad feedback It’s now two stores in my area that I will not be visiting. Hollywood store is just as bad. I frequent the stores in the county and we do not have these issues down there. These two stores are most likely been managed by the same person. Sure...

I've ordered online twice from this location and had 2 very different experiences, which is why I put 3 stars.

Service The first time I went to pickup on 5/7/22, 2 men were idly chatting behind the counter and didn’t even acknowledge that we were waiting at the pickup order. We waited several minutes and finally had to signal to have someone help us.

Today 5/29/22 Manuel immediately acknowledged when I walked in the door. The order was missing an item and the flan sauce had spilled out of the container as he handed it to me, so he addressed the issue right away, switched the flan that had spilled, and gave me a fresh bag. He was very kind and attentive.

Food Cheesecake flan, regular flan, & pastelitos were excellent.

Website (for entire franchise) The website only shows pictures but gives no description of the food. Furthermore, it allows you to purchase items that aren't even sold at some locations. I had to get an equivalent item for what I paid. I was told that this location had addressed this with the franchise but no updates to the website have been made. Food descriptions and customized menus for each location would better serve customers.

Advice for customers Order via phone so you know exactly what items the...
