My son likes this place. However after today I will never spend another dollar at this establishment. The young man on duty today Thursday 10/31/24 between 5 pm and 5:25 pm is the poster child for poor customer service. Although the gentleman from the kitchen, I presume is the owner, did his best to rectify the situation. However, the damage is done! Here is a brief summary of what happened. I stopped by to order three of the pineapple upside down cake to go. It did not occur to me to state that I did not want the cake to be warm, being that it was a to go order. When I realize that, I told the young man, hey this is a to go order. The cake is not going to be warm is it? He replied it’s already warmed up and ready to go. I asked is there anyway I can have a cold cake instead? The young man walked over to the kitchen, came back and told me “no” then proceeded to give me a refund. I told the young man giving me a refund would create a loss for the restaurant x2. The best option is to sell me the cold cakes. at which point he became extremely rude and refused to do so. I apologize for both myself and the error on his part for not checking. I asked the young man if I could speak with the gentleman from the back, the young man proceeded to tell me no again in a very loud confrontational manner, stating that he was the one at the register, why do I need to speak to someone else? A lady that worked at the restaurant join in and proceeded to ask him in Spanish. What was I saying? He refused to translate. I kept repeating, please let me speak to the gentleman in the back. He refused again. I ask the young man if he was the owner of the restaurant he replied “no.” Again I asked to speak with the gentleman in the back. At which point the man came out to speak with me and assist me the best he could.
Lastly, I am glad that I like to tip in cash towards the end of my transaction. I think I would’ve been upset if I gave him my $10 tip, just to end up with rudeness at the end.

Read moreI came to this restaurant upon a friend’s recommendation. My friends had arrived earlier and ordered Cachapa. I ordered a salad, but after tasting a bit of my friend’s Cachapa, I really liked it. I immediately went to the waiter and asked if I could change my salad order to Cachapa. They said, “Sorry, we’ve already started preparing it.” However, I saw that they had only just started placing the greens on the plate. They could have changed it for customer satisfaction if they wanted to, but they didn’t. This was a missed opportunity to make a customer happy, and it felt very inconsiderate.
When my salad arrived, it had a huge round tomato on it, as seen in the photo. How do they expect me to eat this? The salad was not amazing but decent; I especially liked the small potato pieces on top. The staff, however, seemed very unprofessional. They kept dropping things and creating loud noises, which was quite distracting. To make things worse, my drink arrived 10 minutes after the meal. At least they remembered it at the last moment, which was something to be thankful for.
I am a professional tour guide who has traveled extensively around the world, and I value Google reviews. I am also 7 level local guide. Despite the restaurant having good ratings, I couldn’t understand how such poor service exists here. Finally, as I couldn’t eat the salad properly, I asked for a spoon. They brought me a small plastic spoon. When I asked if they had any proper metal spoons, they responded, “This is the only spoon we have.” I hope you get yourself some proper metal spoons one day. The seats outside also not comfortable.
In conclusion, I don’t know if one person’s review matters, but I will never bring my group or...

To top it all off, the location of Los Verdes is fantastic. Nestled quietly on a side street off Hallandale Beach Blvd, next to the train tracks. The ambiance perfectly complements the overall dining experience.
