I really wish I could give a 0 star rating. Unfortunately the food and service were extremely underwhelming. We walked into the restaurant and were seated promptly. There was only one other table at that time and one server. It took about 10 minutes for the one server to come greet us. And then at least another 10 before we received our waters, in this time two more tables were seated and served drinks. We reviewed the obnoxiously large menu and decided to order a few appetizer quesadillas and a chimichanga to share with our table. I clearly pointed to each menu item because I don't think our sever was very fluent in English. We specified that we wanted 2 of our 3 quesadillas to be chicken. When our food arrived 25 minutes after we ordered we were brought 1 steak quesadilla. When we confronted our waitress that we were expecting 3 quesadillas and 1 chimichanga she was a little confused and went to check on her other tables before getting to the kitchen. Another 20 minutes later (at this point our waters have been empty and not refilled) the rest of our order came out, not a single chicken quesadilla. I confronted the waitress that our order was wrong and she did nothing to alleviate the error. Not only did we get the wrong proteins in 2 of our 4 items, we actually got the wrong items as all 3 quesadilla's were supposed to be different. I don't think the waitress was properly trained on the menu and just gave the kitchen the order for 3 steak quesadillas which again was wrong because we specifically ordered double cheese quesadilla with chicken, a double steak quesadilla and a double cheese and chicken quesadilla. The food was okay, no 'WOW' factor that I expect when going out to eat because I could have easily made what I received at home. Until the servers can actually get the order correct I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Very underwhelming experience from the service...
Read moreWent to dinner with my family and the poor service experience over shadowed any good about this place. The plates are average sized and acceptable for the cost. The service on the other hand was completely atrocious. We waited about 20 minutes before the waitress finally came to the table and brought menu's and another 15 minutes before she came back to take our order. I wouldn't really mind the wait if it was packed, but this was not the case. There were only three other tables with patrons, which consisted of two party couples. My wife and daughter food (Tacos Frito) was correct as they ordered it. When it came to my food everything fell apart. I ordered Chile Relleno with chicken and mild red sauce on the side. I ordered my food exactly as I typed it. The first plate came out was cheese and soaked in a very spicy green sauce. Told the server that was wrong, so they made a second plate which was the same exact plate of food with the sauce poured off. They tried to hide the fact it was the same exact food by melting cheese all over it, but the food was wet and soggy underneath. Still wasn't chicken, so I got up took look for the server to address my concerns. Another employee grab the plate while I repeated what I asked for in the beginning to our waitress. Third plate came out and the food looked great but still smothered in the sauce that I asked to be placed on the side. I brought the mistake to the attention of the waitress and she explained it was mild sauce this time. Completely ignoring my complaint and walked away. By this point I was to hungry and frustrated to argue. I ate a few bites and left it alone when it started to get soggy again. I must admit the food was good, but the experience will keep me from returning. I give it 2 🌟 for the food, because the service killed the...
Read moreA Taste of Mexico Right Here in Hallandale Beach!
If you haven’t been to Chapultepec Mexican Bar & Restaurant, you’re seriously missing out on one of Hallandale Beach’s best-kept secrets. This place isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a whole cultural experience! Since moving to Miami from Seattle, I’ve been on the hunt for authentic Mexican food, and THIS is it. Hands down, it’s the most genuine taste of Mexico you’ll find in Broward or Miami-Dade.
But wait — it gets better! On certain nights, the magic cranks up with live music, and they open an outdoor taco stand just like they do in Mexico! Picture it: you’re standing under the stars, the sizzle of the grill, the aroma of fresh tortillas, all while sipping on an ice-cold Mexican amber cerveza. It’s pure nostalgic bliss. It’s like being back in Cancun or Mexico City without the plane ticket.
Now let’s talk about the real star of the show — THE FOOD! Two words: flavor explosion. The tacos here are next-level delicious, wildly authentic, and, get this — under $4 each! Compare that to those “fancy” Miami spots charging $30 for 3 bland tacos. Not here. Every bite is packed with flavor, tradition, and love. They’ve got a variety of tacos that’ll have you coming back to try every single one (trust me, I’m working on it).
I’m obsessed with this place. No, really. I love it! I love it! I LOVE IT! If you’re craving a true taste of Mexico with an unbeatable vibe, do yourself a favor and get to Chapultepec. Tacos this good shouldn’t...
