Update: I went back during the week and it was not as busy this time. The tacos were cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. 👍👍 My husband said his tacos, beans and rice was delicious as well. A++

Customer service was good. If you speak Spanish or are learning to you can practice it here. 😊 Staff is well versed in Spanish and English. It is busy during dinner hours. People are sitting in the (not so big establishment) and eatting. I did notice their carryout business is booming! Street tacos are well priced, $2.25 each. The tacos are well filled with your selection of meat etc, there is plenty of onions and cilantro to top it off. Each taco has 2 corn tortillas for stability and they are perfectly made so your taco doesn't fall apart. I did not try their rice or beans but I plan to go back and try them both. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the corn tortilla, it was a little on the greasy side for me but I brought it home and blotted it with some pt and reloaded my taco and it was yummy! I do not like really hot salsa so the lovely lady handing me my order reccomended 2 of their salsas to try and let me say; that "green salsa" was amazing and I loved it! FYI: I also seen a sign next to Taco Chon saying, opening soon, bar and food so I think they are expanding to offer more of a...

If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

As someone from California, specifically Los Angeles, it can be hard to find Mexican food that reminds me of home, especially in Texas. But Taco Chon Mexican Restaurant does exactly that! Their food is fresh, hot, and authentic—just like King's Taco or Ramona's back in California.

The people running this place are extremely nice, and their customer service is top-notch. The restaurant itself is also extremely clean, which is something I really appreciate. They don’t skimp on the details: they provide plenty of napkins (without having to ask) and aren't stingy with the sauce, which is a huge plus compared to other places that often forget condiments.

I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food. Great customer service, great food, a clean environment, and a cook who knows what...

Taco Chon is hands down one of the best taco spots I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a vibe that feels authentic and inviting. The food is next-level. Every bite is packed with flavor, freshness, and quality you can truly taste.

The tacos are perfectly seasoned, the meats are tender, and their salsas bring just the right kick without overpowering the flavor. You can tell they put real passion into their cooking.

On top of that, the service is fast and friendly, and the portions are generous for the price. I kid you not, I always crave it immediately the next day after having their delicious food.

If you’re in Haltom City and craving authentic, flavorful tacos, and much more, Taco Chon is the spot....

I recently relocated to the Fort Worth northern suburbs and was looking for a margarita and good Mexican food. I am feeling pretty let-down by my fellow Google Reviewers. Went to Try Taco Chon with a 4.6 rating... and, what??? I ordered something simple... Nachos Supreme with Carnitas. The carnitas were utterly flavorless - no notes of citrus, spices or any frying of the pork. The cheese sauce actually had less flavor than a high school football snack shack. Tasted straight out of the gallonsizwd can. Very light on tomatoes, but plenty of jalapeĂąos though. Also, they are sodas and aguas frescas only. Why in the world do they have a bar in there? Very nice people, but the food is sub-par. Won't be back, and can't recommend.

The ladies I asked about the menu were friendly. The food left much to desire. Got a pastor quesadilla could hardly taste the pastor mainly tasted onion. I got a few barbacoa tacos and they were pretty greasy and not that great. I tasted the menudo. I got a few pieces of meat and most of it had big chunks of fat on them.. Got a tripa and asked for it crispy, wasn’t crispy and tasted a bit burned like the oil was old. The lemons I got were beyond dry Got barely a squeeze for my four tacos. Menudo hardly had flavor or color. Only reason I did two stars and not one was the ladies service and hot sauce. Edited to fix typos.
