I discovered this place about three weeks ago and instantly loved it. On my first visit, I met Moe, one of the co-owners/chefs, and he was fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the food. The dishes were delicious, the prices (including alcohol) were very reasonable, and it quickly became my new favorite spot. The only downside was that they’re only open Thursday through Sunday starting around 5 PM.
Two weeks later, I came back with my family, excited to share the experience I’d been raving about. Unfortunately, this visit was a big letdown. We were served by a new bartender, Samantha, who took an unusually long time to bring our orders. On top of that, the price of alcohol was more than double what I paid on my first visit. When I asked about it, she was dismissive and didn’t make any effort to fix the situation. What should have been a fun night out turned into a $140 bill for basically a bite of a falafel sandwich.
I still recommend this spot for the food, atmosphere, and prices as long as you’re not served by Samantha. My first visit proved this place can be amazing; my second visit showed how much the staff experience can make...
Read moreWe've been waiting for a long time for Casablanca to open. Oh man was it worth the wait! Beautiful vibe, super friendly staff, and the food is fantastic. We had a sampler of three different flavors of hummus, with falafel and eggplant dip (like babagaboush, but without all the smoke flavor). We also ordered fattoush boutique (salad), sujuk pizza and vine rolls (dolmas). Everything tasted freshly made. The salad herbs and dressing were bright and refreshing. Served with crisp pita planks, such a hearty salad. We've never had better falafel than this. Light and crispy, it stands alone and doesn't need a dipping sauce. The pita bread was light with the perfect density and chew. The beetroot hummus was a favorite, but we all loved the spicy and plain hummus too. I could make a meal of the eggplant dip. It's topped with walnuts and is like bites of heaven. The menu is small now, but they're expanding it at the grand opening. We didn't order from the bar, but the serve beer, wine and cocktails. Soon they'll open the enclosed patio and hookah space. We can't say enough good things about this place. Come...
Read moreWe just discovered this place and were absolutely blown away tonight! Best Mediterranean in DFW hands down!
The atmosphere was nice and intimate, and the restaurant was truly spotlessly clean. The booths we sat at were large and comfortable.
We ordered the spicy hummus to start, and it was fresh, smooth, and was actually served with a decent amount of olive oil on top. The pita bread was simply divine. It was freshly made out of the pizza oven right before our eyes, and the spices on top are addictive!
For our entrees, we ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and the beef k-bob (both were recommendations from our server). And WOW, they did not disappoint! The beef was cooked perfectly and the rice may have been the best rice we’ve ever had. The chicken shawarma was flavorful and the veggies inside were actually cooked instead of being raw. The fries were crisp and seasoned well.
We both agreed this was the best meal we had in a very long time, so we will definitely be back! We just left the restaurant, and we’ve already texted multiple people to...
