I had a battery replaced in my Sony laptop at this altex location, the battery I had wouldn't hold a charge and I had to keep the laptop on a charger in order to use it. I was charged about $200 for this battery replacement and I requested a virus scan in the meantime. When I asked what all the scan came with, the employee pointed to a sign, rather than just telling me. It took well over two weeks to get my laptop back and when I picked it up, there was super glue running out of one of the holes, when I asked what it was, the tech told me one of the rubber pieces had fallen off. No big deal, but... MESSY. Within 2 days, my "new" laptop battery wouldn't hold a charge and I still can't use my laptop without having the charger plugged in. When I opened my laptop to make sure they replaced the battery, they had; it was no longer the stock Sony battery that came with the laptop, but it was replaced with some unbranded, cheap looking, flimsy battery. Buying items from the store is no big deal, normal pricing, same price as best buy and other local computer part stores, but I won't be dealing with this altex business anymore. What a headache. My first impression of them was LAZY. I was wary of having them work on my laptop, as I had seen a "BUYER BEWARE" sign on someones vehicle that they drove around with for months when this location opened and that is some absolute commitment to tarnish a companies name. Been coming to ALTEX here for since before they moved here, and I have never regretted it! Sure the health check can be a bit pricy at $80, but they do a damn good job of helping me maintain my PC. If I spend money here, they crank it out like professionals! I’m not the most tech minded person, so coming here on a free day and asking them to work their magic really helps assuage my concerns, or even confirm my worst fears when I have to bring my little war machine in. I’ve come here for things as little as a can of air spray and Ethernet cables, and as big as buying my RTX4060, and upgrading my OS! Every time I’ve brought my little war machine in, they help keep her parts replaced and maintained, and give her back to me in working order, and back to 100% gaming condition! Sure Microcenter has a wider selection, but ALTEX brings the Professionals. I go to Microcenter for outer hardware(monitors and mice and keyboards), but when it comes to the vitals of my war machine, ALTEX...

I purchased a computer from them and requested a 1TB hard drive be installed. While I talked to one sales rep another was supposed to be installing the larger hard drive. When I connected the system two days later. I found that the hard drive was not installed and I had a computer with a 460GB hard drive. When I called the store about, I spoke to the rep that sold it to me. He insisted he didn't understand how that could be. I paid for the 1TB hard drive and now have to go back and listen to a sorry excuse about why I didn't get what I paid for. I'm going to request a refund.
