Bridal Affection — Local services in Hamden

When I was looking for bridal stores to go shopping with my future daughter-in-law and her mother, I came across Bridal Affection online. I didn’t know anything about it, and I spent time reading through the reviews and saw nothing but positive, encouraging reviews about how wonderful the shopping experience was, how they had an incredible selection, and amazing customer service. I also saw an option for an appointment one could make on a Sunday, when the store is closed and it’s just the people that you bring with you and your bridal consultant. That was very appealing to me as sometimes shopping in bridal stores can be chaotic with the amount of people that might be there with all of their bridal parties as well. Still having questions, I reached out to the store and happened to get Ava on the phone who was very patient and helpful answering all my questions. I explained to her what the bride was looking for and that I hoped for her to have a very special and memorable experience and wondered if this might be the right place to go. After speaking with Ava for some time, I was positive, this was the place that we needed to go shopping. We did set up an appointment for a “Bride N’ Bubbly” and went last Sunday afternoon. Ava had set up a wonderful charcuterie including meats, cheeses, fruit, honey, nuts, crackers, biscuits and more. There was even a cake and champagne. Ava had already gotten a list from the bride of what she was interested in and had also been looking through her Pinterest to get ideas for the special day. Ava was fun, gracious and knowledgeable, as well as kind, patient and helpful. We did in fact find the brides dress and it wasn’t what she thought she wanted when she walked through the door. But with Ava‘s guidance she was given the opportunity to try on things she might not have otherwise. Mel and Samantha were amazing. I primarily worked with Samantha and before my appointment she requested inspiration photos of my dream dress to better prepare. Samantha was extremely personable and did not pressure me in any way. I picked several dresses and ended up falling in love with a dress that Samantha picked out after reviewing my inspiration and getting a feel of my personality.

Mel and Samantha were able to open another appointment for me the next day so I could sleep on my options. It should be noted that prior to my visit at the boutique I was feeling stressed and defeated after trying on several other dresses at another location and not loving a single one.

After deciding I was completely obsessed with the gown, they offered to customize the dress even more to make it completely the “one”. I had an impeccable experience and I could not recommend this business more.

The family at Bridal Trousseau and Bridal Affection were wonderful! I had such an amazing experience with Yvonne, Mel, Kelly, Ide, and Ava. I would highly recommend their bridal shops! They made me and my mother feel welcomed, comfortable, and special. We had an excellent time there. All the staff are very familiar with the designers, styles, and materials.
