A good spacious masjid, with huge parking area. It was my first time praying Jumaah (Friday) prayer in CT. One brother give a talk in english for almost an hour, i thought it was the khutbah. Then, one brother give the athan and they perform salah afterwards, 4 rakaah, like dhuhr prayer (individually, perhaps it is combined sunnah prayer?). Then another different brother, the Imam, came and give the khutbah in arabic. It is just strange to me, totally different to what I used to. Then before prayer, the imam remind the congregation that it is forbidden to used phone in the masjid, and talking during khutbah is disrespectful. Which is true, but the way he said it is not good especially for newcomers. He’s like scolding small children. One brother who give the adhan was also keep on reminding people not to used the phone even just using it to read Quran. Read moreI prayed Maghreb there Alhmdulilah I went inside and followed a brother to the prayer area. I found many brothers were breaking their fast and looked as if everyone is participating in bringing food. Appeared to be a close isolated community. I was in and out without talking to anyone or being approached by anyone.
For management: We are at the month of Ramadan. When you see a stranger coming to your mosque invite him, be welcoming and generous please as that should be applied to all Muslims at all mosques. I stopped just to pray as I had food in my car but what if someone is fasting, stopped by and doesn’t have any food. You would simply get the reward by greeting, some water or a date offered to the fasting person but may Allah give us all guidance.

Read moreAlhamdulilah. Amazing masjid. I am a revert and I took my shahada in this masjid in 2011. Very family oriented atmosphere and everyone knows each other. Very loving group of people that attend this masjid. The New masjid is BEAUTIFUL and has much more programs for children, adults, and women. The imam ( Uncle ) Dr. Abdul Hamid and all the people who organize and run the masjid are amazing people. Great diversity among people who attend. People from all backgrounds are welcomed and loved.
