Odie's Place — Restaurant in Hamden

Its my first time coming to this place, and i know they will never get any business from me again, and will tell all my customers about this… the cost of my pizza was $11.81 so I gave my credit card, and realized on the receipt I have been charged $38.84, so I told the sever politely that she’s over charged me, this fat lady with black hair, (sever) not sure if she’s the owner or just a sever got mad at me for no reason, started yelling at me and treating me horribly, telling me to leave the place like she was upset I found out she over charged me, I was shocked at her behavior, being that I am a business owner myself and deal with customers on a daily basis, I will never treat anyone like this if I mistakenly overcharged them… thanks to the gentleman who came out to give me my refund back…. Guys please check your total on your receipt when you go to this place… that sever is a thief!! There a lots of restaurants out there who treats people with respect… you work hard for your money, and you have a choice where to spend it… Horrible customer service!!! Wish I can...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Oddie’s Place was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was a disaster.

The staff was rude, disorganized, and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Our table was sticky, and when I asked for it to be cleaned, the waiter just shrugged and walked off. The menu was confusing, with half of the items scratched out and no explanation as to why.

The food? Absolutely horrendous. I ordered burger which came out cold, soggy, and completely unseasoned. It looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. My friend ordered a burger, and it was raw in the middle—completely inedible. When we asked to speak to the manager, they were nowhere to be found, and the staff acted like we were the problem.

On top of that, the place was filthy. The floors were sticky, the bathroom was disgusting, and there were flies buzzing around our table. It’s clear that hygiene is not a priority here.

Save your time, money, and sanity. Avoid Oddie’s Place...

Odie's has great New Haven style pizza! Got a small 10" Hawaiian + 1 extra topping & it was $15, which I thought was a bit pricey. Pizza was still good though. Crust was thin & crispy. Not burnt like Pepe's Pizza is. Wish there was more pineapple & when I 1st looked, thought the ham was sautéed red onions as they were sliced julienne style. Heated it up the next day & it was still great. Inside has your typical "townie" bar feel. Nothing to write home about. Bartender & patrons were super friendly & chatty...
