Donuts Time Cafe — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

I traveled 25 minutes today to get a donut from here. I had no idea that they had switched owners, but the minute I received my order, I just knew that either the old owners had left, or they wanted to go out of business. After receiving my order, I searched the internet to find out that’s exactly what happened. Let’s start with my breakfast sandwich. If you ever had one from the previous owners, you knew how great their fresh kaiser rolls were that they got fresh from ShopRite each morning. Not anymore! They now use some cheap bagged sandwich roll that was awful! I couldn’t even finish it. Next, I ordered a dozen donuts. They were awful. If you ever had the strawberry cheesecake donut, they use to be on a cake donut. Not anymore! All the specialty donuts are now on a glazed donut 🤮 The filled donuts, like the jelly, are just cut in half, hardly have any filling, and just falls out as you’re eating it. Not to mention, they made my order wrong too. I ordered and paid extra for Boston cream donuts, but got chocolate glazed instead. I won’t be coming...

Ordered from this spot based on the rave reviews on DoorDash and WOW! It didn’t disappoint! The egg sandwich was beautiful- perfectly cooked eggs on a pillowy bun with sharp white cheddar, ketchup, salt pepper, mayo, chipotle mayo, and Nashville hot sauce and we devoured it in seconds. The flavors were divine. If I knew it was going to be that good, I would’ve ordered my own! We also got six donuts- all delicious as well but our favorites were the maple bacon, chocolate frosted, Boston creme, and glazed (the maple bacon was extra extra good). Honorable mention to cinnamon sugar and raspberry lemon filled. I can’t believe we didn’t try this sooner and I can’t wait to order from here again!

Edit: went back a second time and the sandwich was not consistent with our first experience. It was not sauced as well, it was missing some of the sauces I had asked for on the sandwich, and the eggs...

While the donuts are good, the attitude of the owner is lousy. Last Sunday, I ordered online to pick my donuts up. It's a 40 minute drive. I arrived to find my donuts in a bag. I asked the owner for a container, which seemed to annoy her. She advised me my donuts were "bag" donuts, while she practically threw my donuts into a container. Okay - can you help me understand the difference? "Next time, if you want a container, just ask for one!'" Three of them had cream, I think that warrants a container, which I shouldn't have to request. THIS is my 3rd time here, each time has been lackluster. Not because of the food or donuts.
