Ivy Tavern Bar is truly a hidden little gem in Hamilton. I stumbled upon it after asking someone for food recommendations. They told me they order food from here all the time, so I decided to give it a try. The food served here is authentic Venezuelan cuisine that has appetizers and staple dishes coming straight from the motherland. The food was so delicious that we decided to end the night at the bar with some cinnamon churros that come with a side of melted chocolate sauce. We didn't plan on drinking alcohol, so we decided to just focus on food, and boy we were not disappointed. This is not your typical hole in the wall bar. This bar has older motherly looking women in the kitchen that you can clearly see from the bar as they prepare your meals. These women know how to cook! The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and very hospitable people. We went on a Friday night and they had a DJ who was cool. He played a song that I couldn't remember and he helped me find the name of it. I was very impressed with the atmosphere, food, and service of Ivy Tavern Bar. My girlfriend and I will be returning to try out other different dishes from their menu....

The selection isn't the greatest but it's the best option when all the liquor stores are closed you can always count on Ivy to sell you a 6 pack of beer or whatever you may be interested in. I...
