ALDI — Local services in Hamilton Township

HORRIBLE customer service!!! Today I went in as an Instacart shopper with separate orders to shop for and deliver to customers. To separate the orders I put one customer’s items in a large reusable bag while shopping and then put the other customer’s items straight into the cart. When I got up to the register to check out I told Jada the cashier that I had separate orders for Instacart. I placed my reusable bag into the cart that’s at the end of the register and asked her nicely if she could put the items for the one order straight into the bag while ringing me up so that it doesn’t get mixed with the other order. Jada then proceeded to tell me with an attitude “that’s not my job”… confused, I ask what isn’t her job?? She tells me her job isn’t to bag my groceries. I explained to her once again that she’s not bagging my groceries because I still have to go to the side and bag everything into paper bags myself, but I simply need her help to keep the orders separate and organized. I shop through Instacart at Aldi all of the time and this is the first time I’ve ever encountered a cashier with such an issue and an attitude about helping me keep things separate… Jada continues to complain and give me an attitude while running her mouth and being unnecessarily rude about how it’s not her job and then starts to just quickly ring up everything and throw it into the cart all unorganized and jumbled together… I come over to the cart and start to try my best to put everything into the bag as fast as I can so that I don’t get the customer’s orders all mixed up and she throws even more of an attitude and it turns into a whole mess and unnecessary argument in front of other customers. I ask Jada where her manager is and she points to the lady who is at the register right next to her. I walk up and tell the manager how rude Jada is being and she completely ignores me. I’m not sure why the store is being run this way!? Such bad energy for absolutely no reason! Why treat others this way!? No one deserves it! If you don’t want to help customers at the store you work for then get another job! Working in customer service isn’t for you...

Convenient, inexpensive. Where I do most of my shopping. They usually have really good fresh produce, that and the almond milk is what I’m there for. Too many snacks around. I try and be In and out. I’d like to review them w 2 stars instead of 5 because the management isn’t great. A lot of times there are only 3 people in total working and although the cashiers are friendly and fast working, no one seems to be there to help them organize who’s doing what. they’re just simply understaffed. And whomever owns or truly manages Aldi’s isn’t available to talk to, or assist customers. I’ve never seen anyone remotely like a manager except one of the senior workers or maybe shift supervisor. It’s the products, prices and hard working people NOT the management I rate a 5. If I was to consider the source of the problems there I’d give them a 2 or a 3. Everyone working is friendly and helpful, behind the scenes, not sure who or where the real corp management ever is.. but you can’t go wrong w their fruit and veggies, cheese, and regulars staples. Much cheaper than Acme or Shop rite. Only thing I pass on for sure is.. the meats. The fish looks like it could be good...

Overall very clean and mostly stocked well. Great prices and I love the "random stuff" aisle. The produce is a little shady sometimes, you have to really pay attention to make sure you're not buying nasty spoiled items. I also notice some produce goes bad much quicker than stuff bought from shoprite. They have great guac, I also like their dark chocolate coconut almonds, their chocolate covered frozen bananas are very good but they don't always have them, and I also enjoy their pulled pork meals. They suffer from the same issue as all Aldi stores which is they don't have everything a normal grocery store has, but it's fine if you just need a couple quick things. I also feel bad for the workers every time I go, they seem understaffed and overworked but they are always friendly despite running around the store stocking and running to the registers...
