Let me start by saying I LOVE BOB EVANS! However as a restauraunt operating during a pandemic, you would never know a pandemic was taking place from looking around inside. Instead of social distancing the tables, They were only seating people in one section of booths. the middle section of the restaurant, the booth section, had 6 tables sat side by said back to back. The staff refused to seat people in other sections. not a table was skipped either. first 6 booths filled with the next few empty. side by side booths that are butted up against each other and side by side tables across the row. no skipping every other table. As a person who is high risk for complications from covid, I was not very happy. Plus half of the staff did not have their masks pulled up....wearing them around their neck. and the other half only had them over the chin or leaving their noses out. our waitress did have her mask on fully. props to her. she did great. the only one following procedures. I can honestly say, I will not go back. Not even after the pandemic has passed. Im actually quite releaved I moved out of Hamilton because now. I was back visiting my mom, who is also at a high risk. I can't believe we actually thought we could go somewhere who usually caters to an elderly crowd at this time of day. had we been offered our seats when everyone else was already crammed into one section, we would have refused and left. to our suprise after being seated and served, here comes table after table being seated on top of each other. the rest of the restaurant was empty, mind you. This happened in July. After Butler county went to a mask mandate/order. not usually one to complain but heres the kicker. thank you Bob evans for showing me how important it is to just stay home. I will happily go back to my new city and not go out to eat again. better off at home where people have common sense and the numbers of covid are declining. you think they are declining because they actually have businesses that follow the orders. ita sad that a business has to have orders in place to be safe. and even sader that they cant follow it, in order to keep their customers healthy. the people who keep the restaurant open. if yoh dont care about the customers, how can you care about the business you represent and work for? read my reviews. there are alot. I don't usually do this (complain) and I dont really want to be called a Karen lol. However I think high risk customers should know before...
Read moreThis was one of my favorite restaurants. My family and I loved the food. But I will never step foot in there again because of the manager, Ashley Knapp. I don’t know if she has zero respect for all of the employees, or just some. She targeted my daughter for the 6 months she worked there. EVEN BODY SHAMED her by continuously calling her scrawny. I highly doubt Ashley would like for others to point out how overweight she is. That’s rude, degrading and unnecessary. I’m not just being a protective mother, I’m speaking up for the ones she has mistreated. My daughter is a hard worker, well mannered, polite, respectful, and cheerful. She doesn’t like any type of confrontation, therefore she has NEVER been disrespectful to anyone of authority, even when she should’ve been. My daughter never worked on Fridays, but for some reason was scheduled for the 4th. She wanted to call off which she had only done twice before, and a coworker was willing to cover her shift. She called work to ask Ashley to approve it, and a simple yes or no, should’ve been the response. Instead, Ashley was SOOO hateful and rude. The things she said, made my daughter feel like she had no value at Bob Evans. Just 3 minutes after the conversation, a coworker texted my daughter to check on her. The conversation was over Bluetooth in my daughters car, and heard by her boyfriend. He also told me what was said. There’s been numerous times I suggested my daughter put a two week notice in, but after that incident, I told her she absolutely was not allowed to return to work. More than anything, I wish corporate would question the employees about Ashley. Maybe even leave questionnaires for the customers. I completely understand she has a job to do, but when she’s abusing her power and mistreating others, she doesn’t deserve...
Read moreI'm going to leave two reviews for meals eaten here two days in a row as I don't think I will be able to leave two separate reviews. First review: 11/27/24 Spending Holidays alone. Who wants to cook for one while feeling lonely and depressed. So I decided to order online via Door Dash and order the Thanksgiving Celebration Platter for one, and I'm so glad I did because it was amazing. They gave very generous portions. I did not have to wait long which was amazing considering it was the day before Thanksgiving. The meal was so good I forgot all about being alone and watched a good movie. The price was reasonable and delivery was free which was really nice, although I still tipped. I also had the Hot Chocolate which was delicious. All condiments were included which was nice of them. You have to try this! The next day (Thanksgiving) I ordered via Door Dash the Farmers Breakfast for one. You get eggs any way you want (I got scrambled with Salsa, Onions, and cheese) sausage patties, hot cakes, potato's. They made sure to include all the condiments such as Butter, Jelly, Pancake syrup, forks, napkins, etc. Most restaurants forget this. It was so good, It made my Holiday brighter and happier. Watching the Macy's Day Parade. Very enjoyable meal and glad I didn't have to travel in bad weather, lost luggage, cancelled flights and all that stress. So, if I could give 10 stars I would. Oh! And if you like coffee, you have to try their Caramel Mocha. This...
