The food is alright, staff is amazing. I remember going to Panda Express when at the Tri County mall and I feel like this particular resuraunt doesn't have the variety of options the one in the mall had, and I feel like the food is subpar when it comes to Chinese. Its not that it's bad, don't get me wrong. But with how expensive it is, you'd expect better. The main reason for 3 stars is how expensive it is, I'm pretty sure it's one of the most expensive options on the west side and they need to expand their menu. The fact they don't have General Tso chicken is silly, I've never heard a panda express not having that, but that's only 1 example. If the price of the food wasn't so high here and they had more options I would definitely give 5 stars. Also, it's in a weird spot. It should be accessible from the main road but I always have to turn by walmart and cut over to the road behind the theater to get in. I think down the main road farther may be another entrance but I'm not positive as it's not exactly marked in any way. A good thing though, if they mess up your order they'll let you keep whatever they gave you and make your order right, so sometimes you may get free food. One thing im not a fan of is after you order they ask to donate to charity which makes you feel obligated cause if you dont you feel like they are going to think badly of you. I dont care to round up to the next dollar but in this economy, hardly anyone can afford all of that. On the bright side the large carts (a la carte) give you more food than most can even handle, so at least you know you wont be hungry for quite some time. Not much else to say, I've had it twice and spent around 50 bucks both times and haven't been back since. Everything taken into account I give it 5/10 and that's mainly cause the price, as well as the other issues I stated. I hear they pay good though 🤣 (for a fast food...
Read moreAte today, 3/31/23, at Panda Express in Hamilton for the first time. They've only been open now for about 2 weeks.
I read the reviews before I went there so I was expecting a so so experience. I've been involved with many new business openings so I know that many problems exists within the first couple of weeks.
When I first walked in, there were about 7 to 8 people in front of me and the seating area was mostly full with maybe 1 to 2 empty tables. The floors were dirty, from someone having tracked mud from the bottoms of their boots.
When I went to order, I explained that this is the first time there and I'm not sure about the ordering process. The young girl said no problem I can help you with that. I'd say there were at least a dozen workers behind the counter and everyone was quite busy.
I ordered 2 take out dinners. The first was a 1 plate dinner with chow mein, black pepper steak, and mushroom chicken. 2nd order was 1 bigger plate consisting of 1/2 chow mein 1/2 fried rice with mushroom chicken, orange chicken, and black pepper steak. We also ordered veggie rolls and cheese Rangoon.
Overall the food was excellent. I dont know what all the naysayers are talking about, but our experience for takeout means I will definitely go back..I like the orange chicken best and my wife said the veggie rolls and Rangoon were awesome.
Congrats to all the workers who are obviously working very hard to make this Panda Express...
Read moreDon't bother with this joint, it won't last long either way!!! Based on the amount of money it took to build this place, I'm willing to bet, and/or would at the LEAST, NOT be suprised to find out out this place was a money laundering investment for the any number of Cartels, Yakuza, Mob or otherwise given there is NO WAY someone would make an investment of that amount without SOME direction already planned, either upward or as a LOSS....Given the nature of this cafeteria/mall food, this "Asian Cuisine" is TRASH food from the jump, egg rolls COMPLETELY burnt, orders incomplete/incorrect, with vegetables running the gambit of either not cooked thoroughly to burnt as badly as the spring/egg rolls...Needless to say, to not spend much more time on this Trash Palace, I tried this place about a half dozen times cause the wife actually liked their noodles when they first opened, and other than the 1st visit, there has ALWAYS been SOMETHING that's JACKED UP about any order we...
