The only reason I'm giving this five stars is because I know how hard the staff works.

The beer is good, the salads are good, the pizza is good.

HOWEVER- (To the owners) Minimum wage is not enough to pay your servers. You absolutely cannot get away with paying worse than McDonald's does and expecting the best. I feel like if you hire servers straight out of high school, a rigorous training course is necessary.

The bathrooms are atrocious. I'm not sure if there's just no "cleaner" or if the staff is exhausted and trying to tackle that as well?? There's almost never any trash bags in the garbage cans, and nothing appears to ever be wiped down.

I've been a patron of this brewery for years, and I have been in innumerable times. The staff is what holds this place together. Pay them better. Hire a proper custodian. Train your new hires and implement a succinct dress code.

I've seen these other reviews. There's nothing wrong with a crop top in the middle of summer, but there is something wrong with being the type of person who trash talks a strangers appearance.

Purchased a gift card on 9/1/2024 via website and it is now 11/3/2024 and the gift card has not been received. The funds were deducted from my account instantly and I still do not have the gift card in my possession. I tried to call and no return call from my voice mail, called again and voice mail is full no longer taking messages, sent a message via Facebook and it is an automatic response, sent a letter via US Mail and still no response. I believe this is very bad customer service. If you are unable to provide the merchandise that is available on your website, then the gift card should be removed. Please let me know how this issue will be resolved.

11/26/2024 - Money has been refunded for the gift card I never received, however the owner did state he would send a gift card to me for my inconvenience and as of 11/26/2024 I have not received a gift card in the mail. one star for great beer. one star for good pizza. unfortunately that is as far as it goes. while we were there the entire bar staff were eating their dinner behind the bar while working. the gent with the luxurious mustache was stuffing his face then came to wait on us. while pouring the beers he repeatedly touched his mustache, then touched the rim of our glasses. not briefly mind you, his fingers lingered on the rim of our glasses while pouring and as he carried them over to where we were seated. not sure if any of these issues would be in violation of montana health code because i am not familiar with those regulations. regardless, it was disgusting to me personally, and possibly anyone else who is even remotely germaphobic. i used to be a regular at higherground, and this was basically my first time back after the pandemic. i am not comfortable with what i witnessed there and unfortunately cannot recommend the place and will not...
