Fords Department Store — Local services in Hamilton

Now I love shopping this store. It has anything and everything you can imagine for a department store. I was disappointed when I asked where the plus size clothes were for women. And I was rudely told by the older woman working there, to just look around. They don’t have a plus size section. So if I see a shirt I like, but it is no larger than a L, I have to get disappointed, and move onto another item with the same results. I hate disappointments like that! Put all the plus size in one section, please!! So I can see if there is something I may want to look at! Did buy a couple men’s tees and a hat. And my kids got some boots. Have shopped here several times and there always seems to be an issue with staff/owners that are obviously unhappy with their jobs, my last visit was over the top with rudeness from the owner in the women’s department. She made a size suggestion, I didn’t agree with her suggestion and picked the other size so she not so quietly tells the other gal helping me that “This is so stupid” as she walks away to ring me up. I love going to Ford's Department Store. It is a men's and women's store. Upstairs they have linens, rugs, bedding sheets, etc. The shoe department downstairs is great. Always changing shoes and they have a nice Western boot area and sell Western hats also. The women's clothes are a wonderful variety to pick from. They have regular sales and it is fun to go in and visit with the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Ford's has been in Hamilton many years and they are still here!
