Worst retail experience in my 54 years. Can't rate with zero stars so I have to mark one, but it wasn't earned. 5 calls, 2 visits, 4 days, cold rude haughty attitudes by C.A. over a watch battery replacement. Received Incorrect watch battery with cardboard spacer to hold in place until correct battery arrived," had to ground freight because lithium ion precludes air freight" (Amazon does it for me frequently). This was after calling earlier same day to request stock check as I'd run into this issue before & was brushed off "I stock hundreds of batteries I have what will be needed." Felt like I committed a crime. Phone tag, inconvenience, indifference in quantities here. 2nd lady in store on final visit no better- I had eye contact 1 time briefly each time there and was actually nervous. Small town of 4,900 people wouldn't expect that kind of neighborly treatment. How this place survived 14 years is a mystery. After ordeal over and $10.00 spent I walked next door to Ace hardware, Cr2025 battery (lithium ion) in stock for $1.98. Wow.....need to go back to big city in other state where that...
Read moreThis was the rudest person I have ever had to deal with in my life. I came in trying to sell an old ring. He was talking pleasantly to a person on the phone when I came in, but when he addressed me and I explained I was selling he became hostile. He asked how old I was, which is not an appropriate or relevant question. He stated he only deals with people above 30, which makes no sense. I am nearly 30 and when I said so, he roughly took the ring to look at it. It’s aquamarine and gold, and rather than look at the label already on the box or identify it himself he rudely said, “that’s not supposed to be diamond is it?” Shouldn’t he be able to tell? He said he was not interested and I left, but I can’t believe how completely rude and clueless he was. I will never go back and I will not allow my friends or family to be associated with such a...
Read more1 starMy brother, who was renting his house while it was in escrow, lost his home in the Roaring Lion Fire. He lived on Judd Creek Hollow where most of the homes were perished. He had minutes to evacuate and unfortunately lost everything but his life. He is in need of some fast cash, so he took a gold ring to Asmus. The first thing out of the Jewler/Owners mouth was something to the effect of "oh geez you're another one of those fire victims are you?" And "you people have just tired me out." My brother said back to him "well you don't run a nice business then with that attitude" and the guy said back to him "you don't like it then get out of my store!" Please support the local fire victims and take your business...
