Bitter Root Brewing — Restaurant in Hamilton

We have had a few experiences here, most have been pretty good. This evening, not so much, had some family in town visiting that wanted to try something local. This was our first choice! As I said our past few experiences were wonderful! This evening our waitress had a bit of an attitude coming into this experience. Lack of communication for the most part. Maybe some lack of understanding. What stood out, and why I won’t rate lower than a 3 was the other waitress, Tilly, and the cooks, being very proactive in trying to resolve an issue! Definitely appreciated them! Instead of causing a fuss for having to return the food (my grandfather being diabetic and being very specific with his order received not what he was expecting) they came back and asked if he would like to try something else. The beer was wonderful, the food once ordered correctly, was wonderful, but the first waitress, could not tell you her name because that we did not catch, was our reason for a lower than 5 star rating. 6/11/24 Update. Another Fantastic lunch, I had the Lamb Gyro and my wife had the BLT. Kristy or Christy was our server. We have gad the pleasure of her serving us before. So bright and cheery. Our food was fantastic, service fantastic and gorgeous views of the Bitterroots. I highly recommend! 100 stars!

Update 6/20/23. My wife and i stopped for lunch today. She had BLT and i had the Tazon with Grilled Cod. 10 stars, amazing. Our waitress was also a joy, positive and fantastic. Many thanks! My wife and I were in Hamilton today and for the first time to eat here. We have seen this place for years but never stopped. We are so sorry we did not stop before. Updated: One of the best things about this place is that it is consistently good. You can count on the food tasting great every time you visit. The same can't be said for most restaurants in Montana. . A random choice for Sunday lunch that totally paid off. The food is amazing! I had the fish and chips and there was nothing frozen or fake about these...they were handmade and fabulous. The ranch dressing is so good you will want a vat of it. The beer is tasty - and it was a nice surprise when the waiter suggested a couple of tastes of her favorites. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The only weird thing was the bathroom lacked a door. I could dry my hands while looking out at the dining room. I didn't care for that, but I won't let it stop me from coming back to this gem in Hamilton! Service +5, Food +5,...
