Taqueria Guanajuato — Restaurant in Hamilton

We used to like this place! No more. The quality of food has been reduced badly and the prices have soared! The place used to be busy and a little difficult to get Into at times. Last 2-3 times we walked right in and seated immediately because they have noticeably less business. There is no seasoning in their ground beef taco's or Chimichangas. They charge extra for God knows what! I mean I ordered 4 taco's and they charged me $6 bucks extra for onion and cilantro claiming I ordered "extra" The Jalapeño margarita was bitter, full of seeds! I mean rediculous amount of seeds. They forget to bring out taco sauce or salad dressing for the GTO salad that was no where near worth the cost.

We are done. Never going back. We tried to warn people on the Hamilton west group on FB. And my post was removed by whiny moderators. Do not go here for a good meal or good deal.

Omg. You absolutely have to eat here. The food was fantastic. Some of the best tacos and corn tortillas I've ever had. I ordered the authentic chicken tacos and everything from the chicken to the onion to the cilantro to the tortillas tasted so fresh. I also got two crunchy ground beef tacos and was super impressed with those as well. My boyfriend got three different authentic tacos - carnitas, al pastor, and carne asada - and he enjoyed all three. The al pastor meat was so fresh and flavorful, I kind of wished I had ordered a taco of my own. The prices are all super reasonable for what you get, too. $2.50 for an authentic taco and $2 for the crunchy beef taco. The chips and salsa was also really, really good. So good, in fact, that we polished off two baskets. The only negative is that this place is a little out of the way from where I live, but if I'm ever in the Hamilton area, I will certainly be...

Taqueria Guanajuato is my favorite restaurant and has been even when they were just a Taco Truck off of MLK & Long St. I have never ever had a bad experience here, either with food, service, or location.

The food is top-notch and easily the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had. The authentic tacos are to die for, the quesadillas are amazing, the queso is fantastic, the steak & cheese fries are my favorite, the rice & beans, the to-go margaritas, I could go on & on. The staff is very friendly, especially the manager. The service is very quick and accurate. The atmosphere inside is perfect.
