Me and my girlfriend come here all the time and for good reason. Everything about this place rocks. I’ve been to nearly every sushi place in the gibsonia, cranberry, wexford, even Pittsburgh areas; and I can say that, without a doubt, K Asian Bistro has the best sushi HANDS DOWN. Everytime we visit, we’re greeted by just the sweetest and kindest workers ever. We’ve go there about once over month and a half or so, even then, the workers still recognize us and take good care of us. They’re really awesome people. One of my favorite parts about the place is that it plays nice, chill, quiet, and calm classical or piano music. No Tswift or drake is gonna distract me from the amazing meal im boutta have. and the meal itself? Omfg. Those sushi chefs each deserve their own Michelin star for the rolls they’re whipping up. Highly recommend any roll, my favorite is the St. Patrick’s roll, I’m thinking about it as I type this, and I probably will again tomorrow, and the next day, until I get my fix. ok the topic of the food, you’re never waiting too long for it, but not short enough that your glorious time there is cut short. Wanna know why? It’s because (if I had to guess) those chefs are pouring their entire heart and souls into your meal. I’m genuinely disappointed this place doesn’t have whatever the max amount of Michelins stars is, and that I can’t give this place a score higher than 5 stars. If K Asian Bistro were to shut down, I would never go to a restaurant ever again. Asian Bistro is definitely one of if not the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. I hope they never close. Everything about this place is perfect. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. You’re doing a disservice yourself not going here. Anyways, thank you K Asian Bistro, for being the best restaurant in the world, and the best one I’ve...
Read moreA FOODIE’S SURPRISE FROM AN EATERY WITH HODGEPODGE SELECTIONS OF FOOD. I am not a fan of places calling themselves “Asian” or “European” or Latin”, which usually means the place has no identity and not clear idea of what food is. Cuisines are reflect the country/culture of origin NOT a geographical area. But this place surprisesd me 😎😎😎.
The menu, which is moderately long, requires a some perusal. Thanks for a good waiter who knows the menu👌👏👏.
This is MAINLY A FISH (raw and cooked) Eatery where the chef seems inventive.
— He preserves the traditional clean sushi, maki and sashimi 😎😎😎
— His rolls are carefully prepared and not go overboard like many American “sushi” places where the fish are drowned in awful sauces, choked in cheese, of fried to death
— Kudos to the very clean and simple Hot Miso soup, and squid salad 👍👍👍
— the tempura is perfect: thin crisp light batter, quick fried in fresh oil, the Shrimp and veggies have retained their flavors. ,, the dipping sauce is not required 😎😎😎😎😎
— The sashimi dinner was fantastic, the fish assortment is great (tuna, salmon, snapper, yellowtail and fatty tuna [my favorite]. The vegs garnishes are terrific 🤩🤩🤩🤩
— the traditional tuna maki is sublime🤩🤩🤩🤩, it almost virginal Japanese maki.
—- the chef-invented Iron Chef Roll is a delightful surprise 😎😎😎😎… a medley of fresh slides WITHOUT any drizzle of sauce. The wasabi tobiko filling married the different fish flavors
—- and a tasting surprise: on-house fish dish ; mixture of fillet trimmings of what I taste as white tuna, snapper and maybe salmon, light dabbed on a tempura batter (not coated) then seared…perfect with the light dab of ell sauce…👍👍👍👍👍… THIS SHOULD BE IN THE MENU.
Service is outstanding
The entire place has a great dining ambience (What I’m missing...
Read moreHave driven by this place numerous times in my life around Pittsburgh, but never gave the rather non descript strip mall location on the William Flynn highway much of a second thought. But I was in the area, needed to pick up dinner because of shifting plans, and got a chance to try this place...and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I got takeout, but got to see that the interior of the restaurant is both modernly attractive in design, but also has a cozy and warm quality to it. Everything ordered was correct and the staff was very pleasant both on the phone and in person.
My wife and daughter got sushi rolls, which are always a bit of a gamble with modern Asian "fusion" places (I believe this one is Thai at foundation). But they were both very happy with the taste, especially with the quality of the sushi rice, which can turn good sushi to bad sushi very quickly.
My wife and I got the Indian pancake as an appetizer, which is basically just Roti with what seemed like a curry powder infused Satay sauce as a dipper. Nothing Earth shattering, but tasty and enjoyable for what it was.
I got the Drunken Noodles with duck meat, which I was excited about because duck is not always available as a typical protein add on, especially at only a dollar or two more. My noodles were hearty and very enjoyable, and the amount of fatty duck meat was both impressive and very appreciated. If I had to pick a small gripe, the dish was labeled as being spicy, but it was very mild and i would enjoyed it even more with some extra kick, though I was impressed with the dish otherwise.
Overall, I was very satisfied with every element of this place, and will try to make it a point to stop by again for another good meal. Great scenario to show why you can't just judge a book by...
