Darling's — Restaurant in Hampton

We waited quite a while to order even though we appeared to be the only people in line. Tuna roll consisted of an untoasted hotdog roll filled with extremely salty tuna. I mean really, really salty! I couldn't eat it. It might have been a bit more palatable if it had toppings (lettuce, tomato). The other sandwich was better. The sandwiches came with potato chips with a pickle spear thrown on top of the chips. Hmmm. 20 minutes after we ordered, two men came and picked up their large takeout order. Gone here twice. The first time the cashier did not give me the correct change I had to ask for it. And my friend’s avocado in his sandwich was still frozen. The second time I went here I ordered two Fraps with caramel. Same cashier forgot the change again, then gave me two milkshakes. One does taste like a boat load of coffee was just dumped in there the other tastes like a vanilla milkshake with caramel. Pretty disappointed. What a new little gem for Hampton! Excellent coffee options.. But my teenagers discovered they serve smash burgers at any time a day and have now started having burgers for breakfast on our vacation. These burgers are bomb! Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had at Hampton Beach. Easily there are probably five other sandwiches that I need to try before we leave this week.
