Are you growing tired of the sterile corporate experience available on every street corner? Have you ever experienced a village pub in a European country? Where all the locals go to spend time together, the coffee or the wine or the beer is just a side thing for them. Do you want to experience that? Sweet beans coffee bar may be a destination for you On my three visits, I did not get to experience any of their special scheduled events, but you can check them out for anything from karaoke to game day During my visits, I did observe groups of people playing board games , casually, reading books in comfortable seating and multiple couples having business or romantic conversation And yes, of course there was that one obligatory guy in the corner working on the great American novel, what proper coffee establishment would be complete without that guy. The floor plan offers whatever you’re looking for; plenty of space for groups, plenty of space for comfortable-relaxation and even a semi secluded feeling. The art that covers the walls as well as the walls themselves are worth a look. The people I observed seemed to have brought their own games and books however, the establishment does have plenty of board games for most tastes as well as a nice little library. I got plain coffee I got cappuccino and everything I had was excellent The staff is very nice and welcoming. The barista listened to my specific request, which may be a little unusual for this area - but executed it perfectly. All of the patrons I experienced here were nice and well spoken with good eye contact that said - “ I know you’re not one of us, but we appreciate you being here” … … you know, the way you were treated when you were in a village pub in Europe. People-watching and listening in on conversations was very easy here, because the people acknowledged that you were watching them and they were happy for you to overhear their conversation. Of course I didn’t listen in on the two men sliding a tablet back and forth while making notes on legal pads. And I did not get within ear shot of the cute couple who didn’t appear married yet sitting unusually close as they smiled and looked long into each other’s eyes while they had their whispered conversation. They roast their own beans a few times a week, which helps bring their signature taste to the world. They have various 3-D printed tchotchkes near the register. Each a unique work of art. Aside from the fresh roast, fresh grind and talented baristas I think sweet beans coffee bar ‘s biggest strength are the regulars who frequent there. Stop in...
Read moreThis place is amazing!! There is so much art work to look at and you can Eve purchase art work from local artists here as well as some great books that are also from local authors. They sell doughnuts from glazed when they are open which is another local business they help support as well. So as we support them they continue the trend and also give back to the community and other local businesses.
As for the food it is so good and I can taste every ounce of love it is made with I love the paninis and burritos and bagel sandwiches I am slowly working through the list of foods but so far it is all very good.
I have just started to branch out and try the coffee on the wall because it is something new every time I come in but before that Josie had me hooked on the Butter Beer Latte with whip cream cinnamon and sugar in the raw on top with a honey drizzle ( I’m telling you it’s a snicker doodle on top of the butter beer and once you mix it into the drink it goes for being great to beyond amazing) if you ever see Josie you have to try the butterbeer latte her way because you will love it. Also as I said try the wall it’s always something new and exciting I tried a spring fling iced breve because of that wall and it was amazing.
Josie makes the best everything and if you ask her why her drinks taste so good she will always say it’s because she makes them with love. Which I’m pretty sure is true because I know I can taste it.
Also I know they get busy but it’s a small shop and theres normally only 1 or 2 people working at a time and they really deserve all patience.
Keep the vibe going tell everyone this shop is: Woman owned Veteran owned Local clean spacious loving baby duck season so you can watch them through the windows
They also have unisex bathrooms instead of male and female so that is also...
Read moreI got the “iced mocha” A blueberry scone, And a pretzel turkey breakfast sandwich,
Service, After ordering my order from the generous cashier, I waited patiently for 7 minutes, after the first part of the order was ready, my food, I picked it up, no problem, Then when my drink was ready, the barista called out a “Chocolate Latte” Which is not what I had ordered, After I questioned the Barista, she was very rude, and says she called both ways, Latte and Mocha,
Baristas should always be respectful toward customers, regardless of who misheard what,

Iced Mocha, It is not the best I’ve had but not the worst, It taste as though they’ve added Chocolate Powder and syrup, very good, a little watery, but still not the worst,
3 Stars,
Pretzel Breakfast sandwich, It’s ok, seasoning is somewhat bland, could use more salt, maybe a sauce, mayonnaise perhaps, or Dijon Mustard, Underside is moist, gives my the impression it’s microwaved, better if it’s cooked, prepped before, cooked instead of Microwaved,
2 Stars,
Scone, First sight of scone after seeing all other baked goods, all in plastic wrap, If baked goods are wrapped in plastic wrap when they’re still warm or hot right out of the oven, the baked good tastes like plastic wrap, somehow that was the way with this, but the taste is still good, But even though the plastic wrap didn’t affect the scone, It still should’ve had a little more flavor, I can taste the flavor, but it’s almost bland,
