The Loose Screw — Restaurant in Hampton

Every time I’m in Hampton, I make it a point to visit The Loose Screw Restaurant and this has been the past two summers and counting—and not just once per visit. It’s that good.

This past visit in July, my friend and I ended up eating at the bar (something I rarely do anywhere), and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. The bartender was incredibly friendly and accommodating—welcoming, attentive, and just added to the warm, local vibe that makes this place special. They have a great team there!

The drinks? Perfect! The food? Absolutely phenomenal. I cannot recommend the steak tips enough—generous portions, high-quality and tasty. Their homemade cakes are next-level.

We arrived 15 minutes prior to opening and were happily waved in, from the parking lot, through the window of The Screw, while contemplating a quick Lafayette Rd excursion. We split the chicken Parm and added a side of fries. The dish was bursting with flavor and an incredible value. I loved that the crispiness of the chicken held up through all the sauces. The hospitality here is worth the visit alone. Bring a big appetite and a few stories to share with the other folks who have become regulars at this establishment. We will be back...

Celebrated dad’s 88th birthday here tonight (his favorite restaurant) and can’t say enough positive! Staff are super friendly and the food is fantastic!
