The Community Oven in Hampton, NH for a few pours & a awesome f**king pizza flight. I had been here a couple years back for dinner with friends, but we sat in a booth so I never really got to check everything out. This time I sat at the bar at around noon on a Tuesday since I found myself in the area & not everything had opened up for business yet. While not the most wild tap list by any means, there was definitely some good stuff & New England staples on draft. I'm definitely glad I chose this spot though since I soon realized I had hit a great happy hour deal for lunch, but let's talk about the beer first. 🍻🍺🔥
I started off with one of my favorite most consistently delicious IPAs in FIDDLEHEAD, which just always hits the spot. My second pint was the HI, JACK! IPA from Hobbs Brewing Company which I had drank before, but didn't remember it being so good, it was a great hazy for sure. My third pint was the old faithful LUNCH from Maine Beer Company, again just a fantastic New England staple. 🍻🍻✌♥️🍺
Beer aside, the food portion of my trip is when things took a fun turn here. I was told about a pizza flight happy hour option that began at noon. I didn't know what to expect, but for under $20 I figured I'd check it out. It came with your choice of three different personal pizzas, I got a plain pepperoni, buffalo chicken & steak bomb. (Pictured below) When the flight board came out It was almost shocking how much pizza was there. These were not personal pizzas, they were smalls with no skimpy toppings or anything. 🍻🍕🍕🛩
I knew I was in for a decent challenge here, but at 41 years old I'm not the eater I once was, that's just science. Being old now means I have to be weary of heart attacks & random intolerances popping up. I said f**k it though & dove in with high hopes of somehow getting all that food down with the three beers. Needless to say I failed this particular side quest, but ended up eating two of the three pizzas so it was a valiant effort. By the way the pizza & beers all came out to under $40 with the happy hour, well worth it. My bartender Shawn was super friendly & talked beer with me for a good hour & a half between customers & me stuffing my hole. It's a big restaurant with all the usual seating options & a decent sized bar. Highly recommend checking them out for that ridiculous pizza flight for sure, you won't be disappointed. 🍻🍻🍺🍕🍕🔥☘
PIZZAGASM RATING - BOOM SHAKALAKA, THOSE PIES AIN'T PLAYING 69/85 🍻🍻🍻🔥🔥☘🍕🍕🍕🛩🛩🍆🍆💦💦✌♥️🍺

Read moreStopped here for a quick dinner and had an excellent experience. Our waitress was exceptionally attentive and the food all came out in a timely manner.
Something the Community Oven did extremely well is the size of the tables. While not all the tables were the same size as ours, our table was very deep. Unlike other places that serve pizza where you’re eating on the edge of the table because the pies are taking up so much space in the middle, having the deeper table gives way more room to enjoy the meal.
Before our meal, we had the meatball appetizer. The meatballs were good, and covered in parm, but felt a little small for what they cost.
The pizza flight is an absolutely killer idea. We ordered the aloha, plain cheese, and buffalo chicken pies. They were all cooked perfectly and the dough was great. I have some critiques for the pizzas though. The plain cheese was good, but needed a little more sauce. The buffalo chicken was very good, but the tomato bits tasted heavily of garlic and overwhelmed everything else whenever I got one in a bite. The aloha was also very good, but the bbq sauce drizzle was a little overwhelming. It would be a small touch, but having a narrower nozzle bottle for bbq sauce for the smaller pies or drizzling less on the smaller pies would balance it out better with the more sparse room for toppings on these sizes.
Overall, the experience was very good and we will definitely return in the future. We left feeling very full after what we ordered and felt that the pizza flight was a good value. Safe to say this pizza, even with some of the things I would've changed, was still some of the best we’ve had in the area. We are glad we checked the community oven out, will recommend it to others when they’re in the area, and look forward to coming back again to try the thick and cheesy...
Read moreWe stopped in there last night. Our first time being there. I'm going to go through the hour and 15 minutes we were there. Greeted if you call in that by a young lady who did not care about anything. We were seated at a both that we were told was cleaned. I watched as people left there seating and a young lady took a really used cloth that looked brown and wiped the top of the table and placed s sanitized note on the table... Over and Over Never looking under the table at the filth on the floor. A young lady after 15 minutes sitting there came over and asked if we had been served. That turned into a look from me as she stated she was the only server.... Oh well... We ordered our food a chicken calzone and a salad with steak. I took one look at the calzone and laughed ... They haven't idea how to make that. The salad had vinegar on what the call lettace. Company that do that to mask old lettace....The steak was not it was what is called flat meat. As I looked from the front door to my right there was food left under every table I keep looking towards the service area window it just got dirtier. Janet said to me this is run by kids that's why it looked the way it did. ........... THE PLACE IS DIRTY POORLY RUN BY WHO EVER IS IN CHARGE. I made the comment what positions are they looking for ... New management.... I AM GOING TO SEND A LETTER TO THE HAMPTON BOARD OF HEALTH. WITH A COPY TO THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE.......DO NOT EAT THERE..... YOUR HEALTH MAY BE IN...
