The food is great! I recently moved from the Bay area to Hanford...i was very pleased to find a lot of really good places to eat in Hanford. But...! There is always a but... Along with the efforts made in the kitchens there are also other reasons why people choose to go back to certain places. Costumer service is a great part of a business success and involves every one of the people that work at a specific place. In these case the amazing work of the kitchen seems to be deminished by the lack of costumer service by the waitress. They have a plate is called "Chorizo scrambled", my son only asked "Do you use Mexican chorizo on your Scramble?". She responded in a very strong tone "this is a White Restaurant". Though she quickly apologized; that answer just made my day and made me feel ackward and not welcomed. I am Mexican (not White that's for sure) and the last thing I expected is for my son to have to hear this kind of comments. I do appreciate very person that works hard and takes care of their responsibilities... For that reason I give 3 stars to recognize what the effort that the people on the kitchen...but is unfortunate that 5 stars is not deserved because of a disrespectful individual. I can honestly say that at tjis point these restaurant it is not my favorite place to...
Read moreWorst experience by far in a restaurant. Arrived at 8am with a party of four we placed our orders by 815am. We waited nearly an hour to receive our breakfast orders. The portion sizes were smaller than any other restaurant I’ve ever been to and the food was cold….. the hamburger we ordered was BLOODY BLOODY not cooked at all and the waitress said that the cook said he plated the wrong patty because he was cooking multiple at the same time. The cook should know the cook times on each item he is preparing in order to avoid foodbourne illnesses. We also never received our coffee and saw that it was charged on the bill. The staff was not apologetic nor were they accommodating. We paid our bill in full which was nearly $100 for four small plates and no coffee. It was a disaster and we will never go back. There are many great places to eat in Hanford and Green Valley Cafe is one I would definitely skip. All our stomachs hurt and the experience was...
Read moreHere in the valley we have the best food. Authentic as every person who makes it. But one place sticks out to me in my Hometown of Hanford and that's Green Valley Cafe. It has been run by the same wonderful people since I was a kid. The food is always delicious no matter what I order..taste like it was made with love. Also, I cannot say enough good stuff about the service. The Ladies are respectful and polite. The open chatter in the restaurant often leads to open conversations between tables that include politics and religion. It's one place where ideas and differences in points of view can be exchanged without the fear of someone coming on here and ranting about how their NOT from the "AREA" and their experience wasn't peferect. Or maybe one of the waitresses didn't use peferect "P.C. language"..This is not a "safe space" it's a "respect space" and we all respect each other..the food Demands respect and so do the hard working waitresses...
