La Fiesta Restaurant Bar — Restaurant in Hanford

If I could give -100 stars, I would. The food was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. And then, they got offended when I sent it back as politely as possible. I never ever have sent food back because I get anxiety but this food tasted DAYS OLD. They only offered 50% off when I only took a bite out of the food. Drinks were trash, food was trash. The restaurant is trash, we aren’t from the area so when we found a place to eat with good ratings, we trusted it. But definitely will never return nor will I recommend anyone there. They need better employees or at least to replace the ones that serviced us. Some employed were actually really nice but once I sent my food back, we got the cold shoulder. I never complain or give reviews but I was just so shocked with the way they acted when I sent the food back. He exact words were, “everyone has been ordering this and not one person has complained.” Okay that’s good for them, if I pay, I like to get food to my liking. And I’m not speaking if I didn’t like the particular dish, I’m speaking towards, warmth, freshness, etc.. and like I previously stated, the food tasted days old & super dry. The canned enchilada sauce tasted better than what they gave us. I know, I sound super mean but I was super nice even with the food being bad. 5 years ago the food and service was great but the past 5 years both food and service have severely suffered to the point where I'd be fine with never going back. Long waits for food, some foods have been served cold, servers can't keep up with the pace: although if this keeps up it won't be an issue as customers stop returning. And last but not least the filth is an issue as well. I personally know 3 professionals who refuse to eat there after servicing the kitchen/storage areas. The roaches are everywhere even on the food and food prep area, the delivery area smells so strongly of rotting meat that the delivery person gags, they only have one walk in refrigerator where they store both raw meat and prepared foods which are uncovered, exposed to the meat and often times moldy. They scoop off the mold and reheat the food and serve it.

My message to La Fiesta, if I am wrong with respect to the claims of FILTH in your business please invite me to stop by at my convenience during a "non rush hour time of the day" and have a look at the above mentioned areas for myself. Been eating here basically as a default since Ray & Martha's place closed (they were the keeper's of Rubacalva's recipes and secrets). I've never liked the rice or beans, they are completely tasteless. My go to items are the shredded beef tacos or special burrito and I've never been disappointed since they are very much like Ray's and thankfully I'm full enough not to even want the rice and beans. If you grew up here and ate at Rubacalva's then you are of course going to be disappointed in anything else. The worst part is, as many have said, the service. They have gotten too comfortable with knowing that their regulars are loyal and so they put no effort into their service and it's embarrassing to give this place a great review then have a new customer experience such horrible service. They need to read these reviews and get a clue that their customer base will wane if they don't step it up! I won't recommend them to anyone new until I start seeing more effort from their servers.
