Adams Drive-In — Restaurant in Hanford

Excellent service, food, and prices.

I stopped by for the first time last week and the woman working asked if I'd give them any feedback on the food since it was my first time there. I had the fried mushrooms, fried mozzarella sticks, the Double Super Bacon Cheeseburger, and a soda. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly, fresh, not soggy, and delicious. The mozzarella sticks were crispy, melty, and great tasting, thicker than the string cheese sticks most places serve. The burger was awesome, cooked perfectly and seasoned right with fresh bun and produce. The soda was a little small, but I didn't ask for a bigger size, so that's on me, and that's the only thing I could find remotely negative to say.

First time trying this place. Burger had a great smokey flavor and taste. The fries were crinkle cut and seasoned, did not expect but the fries are so great! $9.86 was the cost after tax for the #1 combo. (Single patty cheeseburger w/condiments). Feels cheaper than most places in comparison.

Inside the tiny building was a bit grey/dark... They made the small space work for their kitchen and eat-in lobby. Cozy inside or outside eating. Probably wouldn't eat inside due to slight cramp and just awkward lighting / sitting arrangements. Nothing big, just something to point out I noticed while waiting for...

I arrived 15 minutes before their closing. Manager was friendly and when I changed my mind on size of shake he did so complimentary. Their shake reminds me of my local creamery from childhood (toothsome) and their onion rings were as good as others testified. Pastrami sandwich was great, yet a bit chewy as if sliced with the grain. Definitely will return. Classic diner in need of more TLC and they have retrofitted for full compliance on access for...
