What I used to think of as a hometown favorite, has now become my universal favorite burrito. I have long since left Hanford for college, career, then leaving the state all together for a job transfer. I will come back everytime I visit family (they are usually obliged to tag along too).

I remember the days when it was cash-only, only having a few drink fridges, the faces behind the counter were a little younger... but the carne asada burrito with queso and salsa remains the same delicious foil-wrapped delight (my parents prefer the chile verde). Unfortunately, that is all I can be relied on to review, as this is the only thing I have ever ordered. There's no improving on perfection.

This little places has some secrets that the name of the establishment conceals. They do make tortillas but the thing to come in here for is their hot food. I am originally from Los Angeles where there's an abundance of good eateries and I have highly recommended places. But this spot probably has the best Chile Verde Burrito I've ever had the pleasure of eating. You can request to add Chicharron in your burrito and it elevates the taste to another level. This is my favorite places to purchase lunch in Hanford. You can order ahead through phone or walk in and wait in line about 5 to 10 minutes. In Hanford, Ca., there are a few authentic Mexican food options. Jalisco is a simple walk up counter where you order your food exactly the way you want it. Burritos, taquitos (get there early), tamales, carnitas etc. Their Burritos are huge and include beans, rice, salsa (you can get this on the side) and your choice of meats or Chile Verde.
